About This Mod
Scripts automate all of the game setup as well as the transition between game rounds. 1st edition factions that work out of the box with the updated 2nd edition rules have been added as a bonus.

Game Setup
A dedicated menu allows to configure the initial game setup, including the option to choose which expansions to play with. Press "Setup" to initiate the first round and to automatically perform the initial board setup for Eclipse Second Dawn for the Galaxy:
  • Available technologies are chosen randomly based on the number of players and placed automatically
  • Tiles for outer sectors are randomly chosen to match the number of players
  • Turns are tracked automatically via the turn marker
Players then choose their faction.

Automated player setup with the push of a button
  • Automated setup of all starting sectors
  • Faction-specific number of colony ships (Planta receive 4, Terran 3, ...)
  • Initial pool of resources is assigned automatically
  • Influence discs are placed on the player board according to the chosen faction (Eridani receive less)
  • Automated faction-specific fleet setup (no Dreadnoughts for Rho Indi)
  • Player boards are automatically locked in place

Starting subsequent rounds triggers an automated clean-up: Remove damage cubes, refresh colony ships and pass cards, return reputation tiles, ...

Expansions
All expansions for Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy are included and can be selected during the setup:
  • Outcasts: New Faction "Rho Indi Syndicate"
  • Outcasts: New Faction "The Exiles"
  • Seekers: New Faction "Wardens of Magellan"
  • Seekers: New Faction "Enlightened of Lyra"
  • Minor Species
  • Rift Cannon
  • Galactic Events (Nebula, Supernova, Black Hole, Pulsar)
  • 2 additional options for turn order (e.g. 2nd player to pass decides the direction of play)
  • Optional: Faction "Pyxis Unity" (Eclipse 1st edition)

To better support the switching of player colors in hotseat mode, I enabled the "Pass Turn" option by default.
Just pass the turn to a player to then be able to change the color. Choose one that matches a seat at the table.
Please let me know if you have questions or encounter any issues!

Hi! I will try to look into this over the weekend.
For now, when setting up a hotseat game, please choose the following colors:
Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, White and Purple.
With these everything should work as intended.

Hi, just messing around with the set p functionality, etc for hotseat - it seems whenever i try to do a 6 player game, (6 in TTS, 6 option selected at Eclipse startup) it only puts out 4 mats, and clicking through next turn only cycles players 1-4 despite the UI indicating 6 players.

Known issue, am I doing something wrong?

Hey, may I ask what is the font for the numbers in the combat dice?

The Expanded Galaxy content is something I would like to add in the future, but life is pretty crazy right now and I am not sure when I will get to it...

Hi! Great mod - Just finished a game with my friends and it worked great. Is there any plan to add the Expanded Galaxy pack to this any time soon?

Thank you so much for this mod. It has allowed a friend and I to enjoy playing.

I have one question for you about setup. If I have the no round limit option selected, what changes? Are more tiles added into the pot somewhere, or what exactly please.

Are GCDS and Ancient minis planned to be included eventually?

Hi Carriath!
There are 6 seats / colors available on the table and players have to pick one of the available ones. I always thought this is standard tabletop simulator behavior. Black, to the best of my knowledge is always reserved, otherwise I would have definitely added black, especially as the Orion faction in the physical board game is using black game pieces.
Can you maybe link a mod that works the way you would like me to implemented this one? I promise I will take a look!
