Cold War Rearmed III

Description
Cold War Rearmed III is a community project to recreate the experience of the great and unique Cold War Crisis and Resistance campaigns from Operation Flashpoint™ (later known as Cold War Assault).
Our main focus is keeping the atmosphere from the original game, while taking advantage of Bohemia Interactive's modern engine and gameplay enhancements.

Once again, you can witness the confrontation between the Soviet Union and the United States spiraling into a shooting war over the Malden islands, a chain of isles in the middle of nowhere...

Welcome to the third return of the legendary Cold War Rearmed modification!
With this update, Cold War Rearmed III is leaving the beta phase and can be considered complete.


Some things are not 100% perfect, some will be replaced in future updates. And some things are just placeholders for the time being.

Note: Some uniforms and other items are moved from the core Mod to the USMC, VDV and VMF Expansions. This was necessary because in the end there was a huge mess of all kind of items.
So if you're missing an item in an mission or in the editor: Load these Expansions and they should be back.

Missions and campaigns are released as separate workshop items for easier maintenance.

The work contained in this distribution is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0.

It is forbidden to distribute the content of this package by itself, or as part of another distribution, using the Steam Workshop by anyone other than Cold War Rearmed III Team.
You may NOT use the material for any commercial purposes. This includes running this Modification on server instances that employ any monetization schemes, including, but not limited to, donate-reward systems.
Bohemia Interactive's approval of your monetization scheme does not grant you rights to wave this clause of the EULA.
Please note that the above-mentioned agreement gives the right to the Cold War Rearmed III Team to waiver any of the conditions at our own discretion.

The CWR III Modification is provided for Arma 3 only and is not to be used with VBS or any of its derivatives built for the purpose of military training.
The use of Cold War Rearmed III in DayZ is strictly forbidden.

By downloading the Modification, you submit to the EULA, and any non-compliance with previous rules, you may be subject to prosecution.

Remove this stupid feature that makes soldiers spawn with random glasses. This is ass, i'm tired of fixing and cleaning up after you. Like, soldiers spawn with completely random glasses from the future. This is only in your mod. Also, someone stole the LAV-25's muzzle brake and I have to use the LAV 25 from other mods. Why is everything so poorly done? This is the most popular Cold War mod in Arma 3. These are such small flaws, but they're so annoying. Couldn't you just try a little harder to fix them if you're making the coolest Cold War mod? It would almost be RHS or CUP-level if you weren't so lazy. :steamfacepalm:

Switching Helicopter flight model to Standard in the options menu fixed the AH-1 not taking off issue. Rotor sounds different for some bizarre reason.

Incredible mod. It contains the best M1 abrams i have seen in my 5000 hours with Arma 3. The uniforms are peak. Man does that abrams looks good with the camo netting. Thank you, I've had a lot of fun with this mod for years now

T80 doesn't seem to work. In the editor, its name shows as T72B1 and using it only spawns a T72B1, so there are duplicate T72B1 entries.

Hello, great mod! But, the SU-17M4 (VMF) and the Zubr-class LCAC (VMF) doesn't show up on the Zeus interface, will that be fixed in the next update? :steamhappy:
