Cold War Rearmed III

Cold War Rearmed III is a community project to recreate the experience of the great and unique Cold War Crisis and Resistance campaigns from Operation Flashpoint™ (later known as Cold War Assault).
Our main focus is keeping the atmosphere from the original game, while taking advantage of Bohemia Interactive's modern engine and gameplay enhancements.

Once again, you can witness the confrontation between the Soviet Union and the United States spiraling into a shooting war over the Malden islands, a chain of isles in the middle of nowhere...

Welcome to the third return of the legendary Cold War Rearmed modification!
With this update, Cold War Rearmed III is leaving the beta phase and can be considered complete.

Some things are not 100% perfect, some will be replaced in future updates. And some things are just placeholders for the time being.

Note: Some uniforms and other items are moved from the core Mod to the USMC, VDV and VMF Expansions. This was necessary because in the end there was a huge mess of all kind of items.
So if you're missing an item in an mission or in the editor: Load these Expansions and they should be back.

Missions and campaigns are released as separate workshop items for easier maintenance.

The work contained in this distribution is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0.

It is forbidden to distribute the content of this package by itself, or as part of another distribution, using the Steam Workshop by anyone other than Cold War Rearmed III Team.
You may NOT use the material for any commercial purposes. This includes running this Modification on server instances that employ any monetization schemes, including, but not limited to, donate-reward systems.
Bohemia Interactive's approval of your monetization scheme does not grant you rights to wave this clause of the EULA.
Please note that the above-mentioned agreement gives the right to the Cold War Rearmed III Team to waiver any of the conditions at our own discretion.

The CWR III Modification is provided for Arma 3 only and is not to be used with VBS or any of its derivatives built for the purpose of military training.
The use of Cold War Rearmed III in DayZ is strictly forbidden.

Question. Which option should i tweak to be able to hear character dialogue better?
as in the subtitled text is good and all, but Effects start maxing out guns, but not dialogue, VON and Mic choice is occluding somth behind them, Radio is not working, the thing behind mic is maxed...

How do I move the machine gun turret (controllable via commander role) in the M60A3 TTS tank? I can shoot it but not move/rotate it.

Is anyone else having the issue when you get inside of the KIOWA that it shoots you into the air and bounces around?

If I host this on my server will people joining get Ads if they don't have the HelicoptersDLC, MarksmenDLC, ApexDLcs ?
Even if I don't spawn anything that uses those DLCs as a basis?

Is there a way to remove random face wear generation for CWR units?
Every time I add US CWR infantry units in scenario editor, they end up having balaclavas, beards as face wear. Even editing them manually then copying them across doesn't stop it. Is there a way to stop this from happening? cheers.

Are those planes and helicopters support dynamic loadout?
Hello. We have been using your modification for a long time. We have a question. Do you plan to add more stationary artillery for the Soviet Army in the near future? It's just that sometimes the same D-30 is not enough. I would also like to see alternative coloring for the same D-30.

Just finished the campaign using ACE with only minor issues (had to redo two or three missions with ACE off due to how vehicle damage works). Thanks for making this, it was a fantastic way to re-experience one of the most unique games of my childhood. Plays amazing and you have to love that old voice work. 10/10

I had a look at the mission. Grabbed the Ural from the base and brought it close to the Hind. When I boarded the Hind as Pilot, refuelling was done automatically .

Actually I think repair/rearm/refuel is done automatically in Arma3. Only healing has an action.
Maybe I should spend more time in the game again...
