using BloodyPenguin's two-lane one-way train tracks to make a coompact train-a-bout with a 40xU circumference. Using TM:PE can help increase the control over the otherwise cowboy train drivers.

It was a fun experiment. Confirmed the smallest workable trainabout would be 4trains in circumference. The two-lane one-way tracks worked well with TM:PE lane management. Trains would enter side-by-side based on destination. (example lower left)
Trains departing the city would divide early into Northbound and Southbound lanes, helping juggle traffic. (left-to-right)
Confirmed I would want a different approach to double tracking for more capacity. Found that.
Confirmed trains of different lengths and cowboy train drivers leads to push-through blockages galore.
The playing with the trainabout did lead to my discovery or uncovering of NoMerge NoWeave Roundabouts for cars and trucks. Those are fun and helpful.
The maingoal, though, was to generate many crossing and merging events within a compact watchable area, to confirm the Train AI drives them pretty much like trucks. Mission accomplished. Safety violations galore.
