RNLI Tamar Class Lifeboat

Description
**NOW WORKS IN SURVIVAL MODE**

RNLI Tamar Class Lifeboat

Description and History:
Tamar-class lifeboats are all-weather lifeboats (ALBs) operated by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) around the coasts of Great Britain and Ireland. They have replaced the majority of the older Tyne ALBs. The prototype was built in 2000 and 27 production boats were constructed between 2006 and 2013.

This particular model is based on 16-20 "Rose" based at The Lizard Lifeboat station in the South of Cornwall, England. On station since 2011, she is slipway launched with a crew of 7 capable of reaching 25 knots with a range of 250 miles thanks to her two 1000 HP engines. At 16 meters in the length and with self-righting capability, she is able to withstand all weather conditions encountered around The Lizard peninsula and further out to sea.

Stormworks Lifeboat:
To turn start, turn on both switches behind the Coxswains seat then simply press the 'Ignition' button at either helm points on the bridge or in the cabin. From here W/S will control throttle, A/D steering, Up/Down to control pitch and Left/Right for bow thrusters (Not implemented yet). The main mast can be raised from the bring using the keyswitch and the two side aerials are controlled by a key switch on the left.

Many of the systems are not fully functional yet, I am still learning this game but plan to update the functionality and looks of the boat and keep it as up to date as possible. You can find my the change log and development items at the bottom.

Planned Work (no particular order):
- Get Tamar working without "cheats"
- Add more functionality and make more usable within Stormworks
- Improve interior
- Improve systems
- Improve balancing
- Improve power output/engines
- Change stowed equipment
- Develop launchable Y-Boat stored in the stern as per the real boat
- Create Lifeboat House with slipway for launching - Check out Cauterize's Lifeboat Station here!

Change Log:

07/01/20 - V1.6: Updated panels to be less cluttered and implemented support for compatibility with Cauterize's Lifeboat Station.

22/12/20 - V1.5: Removed keel and introduced rear connector for better slipway performance. Removed some unnecessary pumps and improved stability.

03/11/20 - V1.4: Graphical updates, added front storage hatches. Added working radar (credit to neolinden.)

31/10/20 - V1.3: Fixed incorrect cooling and tweaked RPS/Gearboxes so now fully works in survival mode. Also tweaked balancing to make more stable during turns/heavy seas.

29/10/20 - V1.2: Engine and electrics overhaul which allows it to work in survival mode (lacks some speed in this mode). Added bow thrusters that can be controlled as either helm position. General tweaks and self-righting if capsized (hold A/D to right).

28/10/20 - V1.1: Y-boat added.

28/10/20 - V1.0: Released.

How do I get it to go?
Chaz.exe Feb 21, 2021 @ 3:27am
hm i wanna make the max throttle 80% but i dont know how to cause i fiddled with the engine and it goes 40-45 knot but at full power it bobs up and down which is annoying so could you tell me how to do it or is it not possible
bogis  [author] Feb 4, 2021 @ 7:39am
@Station Manager Chaz She does 25 knots which is what the real lifeboat also does. You are more than welcome to fiddle with the engine and gearbox settings to make it faster if you would like to.

Hey, could you make it faster by adding some more power via gearboxes and or motors?, cause i love the boat but it feels painfully slow when rescuing real players, apart from that it is awsome

@bogis I look forward to seeing some of the others if you do decide to make them - I've not really dived into the building side of Stormworks yet so will be interesting to see if I can make progress.
Will be keeping an eye on your page though with keen anticipation
