ProjectM is based on "MilkDrop 2" an old winamp music visualizer that exists since 2001. If you search the web for "Milkdrop Presets" you´ll find whole collections of presets that you can download and copy to your Presetsfolder... once you manaed that you can "manage" you presets while running by rating 0-5 Stars by hitting [0]-[5] on your keyboard. By rating 0 Stars to a preset you make it appear less and 5 Stars to see it more often... also you can show a presets name while its running if you want to get rid of it, search for that name in your presetsfolder and delete it.
Further i use "Reshade" shaders to postprocess projektMs visual output. Just download the actual installer from https://reshade.me/ when installing search for the projectM.exe in \Steam\steamapps\common\projectM (choose openGL)... add what you want from the list of Filters/Shaders you´ll be shown while installation and let it install... when starting projectM after the installation process you can open the overlay-menu with [pos1] and play around by activating some of the filters or shaders and tweaking some settings... thats what i did... as an example i use post antialiasing, retrofilters, some colourfilters and chromatic aberration etc. hope that helps you out a bit
