A mod that aims to improve Aberration as a whole!
Aberration is, in my opinion, the best DLC in ark so far. The environment is breathtaking, the custom content is fun and there's cloaking invisible feathered wall-climbing dragons. However, it never got the love it truly deserved. My guess is that Wildcard wanted to treat Aberration as a whole new game, though they weren't able to due to the current game's limitations. Many things need a serious rework. Overall, the community had mixed feelings, but nobody got back to Aberration to fix it. That is the reason I'm here for.
I don't envision this mod as a "recode", but rather a rework, improving existing things and adding features that would fit well with the theme that don't break the balance. I don't aim to make this a huge mod, bringing 500 new creatures or weapons. However, I am considering the idea of map extensions, as I have many ideas I'd like to pitch that require the latter.

That being said, welcome to ARK: Aberration, enjoy this wonderful map once again!!

All information about the mod will be listed in steam discussions, although everything is already in my discord;

Version: Ab-Better v1.2.2:
- Made Ferobufo immune to jellyfish stun and purlovia stun, as well as the rider. Ferobufo should now have more luck at surviving in the Element chamber!
- Removed Krampus Seekers and Santa Reaper, christmas is over!
- Slightly lowered tameable Grave Tyrant spawning levels.

- MercerLord; a true friend and a great person, great modder.
- Zythara; Dodoreaper and Zombdrake models, thanks to their open source files.
- Dahling; a great friend and awesome modder, helped me with some codes.
- Shadlos; a great friend and a big inspiration to start modding.
- The Sunken World modding crew. All of them are amazing people and deserve the best.

@MiracleMoney43 They'll be disabled tomorrow by default, but if you put this in your game.ini they won't spawn anymore:

is it possible to disable krampus seekers?

I do have a modding discord where you can dump them in. It's always cool to hear suggestions, although I don't take them all the time. You're welcome to post any, though.

I was wondering if you take suggestions and/or have a discussion for suggestions, or if you take them in discord?

@MEGASPARK You need to find a baby one and passive feed it. Then you'll have to defend it from wild predators that will come to kill it once the taming starts. They spawn in the fertile chamber.

how do you get a grave tyrant
RRG  [author] Jan 5 @ 1:52pm
@Shiro not at all! It works on any map that uses aberration spawners, though once the map extensions are done, part of the content won't be available outside Aberration. However that's a long ways off, and the mod will still be stackable, so don't worry about it :)

I jump from map to map and was wondering if this needs to be a specific spot, and I wanted to ask if it will clash with the valguero mod and the chasm mod.

@Syndan I made the grave tyrant be tameable at lvl 92 to balance it with reapers, and made it not immune to radiation. I wanted it to be the apex predator of the fertile chamber, but not something that can outclass reapers. Also glad to see there's more Aberration lovers out there! :)

@GROOVE Actually I disabled glowbug taming a few months ago because it was glitchy as hell, I've been a bit lazy about it lol. I should get back to fixing that. Sorry for the inconveniences...
GROOVE Jan 4 @ 6:44pm
How do I tame these glow bugs? I am using a fish basket and putting it in front of the glowbug and it just goes right through the basket or stops right before it and then flys away from it.

Any tips besides get gud? Haha. Spent over 25 minutes with no luck.
