Totem Hunters is a multiplayer brawler where kicking, trapping, deceiving and bashing your buddies to kingdom come feels absolutely delightful. Score several touchdowns with the much desired diamond totem to win the match. Or lay an ambush as pottery or other items and gently push your friends to explore the deepest part of the canyons!

What will this game become?
This game was designed and created in a mere 48 hours during the global game jam of 2014. With our talented team we will expand this game to a beautiful brawler that will give hours of sadistic joy!
Expect much more variation in the levels, with traps, waterfalls, crocodiles, rolling stone balls, collapsing structures, magic, fire, snow, lava, bombs, power-ups and camels! We are going all the way with 5 new levels, each giving a glimpse of the magical middle east. You will be able to invite friends, rank your avatar and much more.

The main goal of the game is to bring the Totem from the very left to the very right. Be the first to do this 5 times to win. However, your enemies could be hidden anywere along the way. Any vase could be a transformed opponent waiting to push you over the edge and steal your totem. Being patient can be very rewarding: If you bash while being hidden as a vase you will kick your opponent twice as far which is enough to ensure (s)he will fall a long way down the canyon. Furthermore each level features unique traps and powerups which can be used in the FFA or team based game modes.
The game will keep challenging you to win more matches in order to become the best Totem Hunter.

Multiplayer mayhem
Challenge any of your friends or team up and rule the battlefields together. For the sake of fun and gameplay we are currently considering a maximum of 8 players per game.

All levels are inspired by the historical city "Petra".
  • Environment 1: Petra Canyon
    Theme: Rocks,sand, Plants, Statues, Temple entrance
  • Environment 2: Snow Peak
    Theme: Snow peak, Torn Banners, Tents, Ice, Fire Bracers
  • Environment 3: Oasis
    Theme: Water, Waterfalls, Grass, Moss, Plants, Crocodiles (eats players), Birds, Palm trees, Water lillies, Statues, Pots, Pillars, Tents, Rocks
  • Environment 4: Deep Cave
    Theme: Glowing slugs and insects on walls, Glow plants, Lanterns, Fire Bracers, Statues, Pillars, Chains, Wall paintings
  • Environment 5: Lava Cave
    Theme: Lava!, Vulcano like structures, Molten rock, Statues, Fire Sparkles, Pillars, Fire Bracers

Hello jmjovan59, I guess that by our lack of response you can guess that we have not made much progress. Right now the same team is working on a different equally awesome game and as of now we have no release planned.

I just played a bit of the web demo. There is potential but this game to be fun needs EXTREMELY responsive and polished controls - i really mean controls need a TON of work.

Another thing is bigger maps and more diversity then hide -> unhide -> hit -> steal.

Still for a game made in just a few days its amazing.

Looks like it could be a fun party game. My main issue is how fun it will be playing against only one friend. Perhaps you should consider adding some optional AIs? Upvoted!
