Description
Summary: We are at the final task in our conquest to retake stratis. We need this airport men, and we must stop at nothing to capture it or die trying.

This is a Co-Op map that is designed for a maximum of 32 players, it can be possible with just 4 people - each player then will have to make sure that they are a team leader of the 4 squads.

It is possible to singleplayer this but you will have to create a multiplayer session, you can have it as LAN or internet it does not really matter (having it a multiplayer session enables respawning). Then just follow the tasks you are given until you complete the mission, but be advised that this is designed for multiplayer so it will be a lot harder to solo it.

See from what I have experienced, and what I like is sort of like those domination maps. Where there is respawns and reviving (like I said before I just couldn't get the revive script to work).

For me a lot of times it does depend on the mission whether or not respawns should be allowed. Like above your domination maps are pretty much impossible to beat with no respawns, whereas just a simple mission where say you have to sneak in a destroy a tower with 3-7 other people would probably not require respawns as much.

Sure, but we don't normally schedule test missions. What happens is that some of us feel like playing Arma 3 when we DON'T have a mission scheduled, so we just try out Steam missions. Often, other members will see us on TeamSpeak and join, too, but it's all spur-of-the-moment. If we find a mission we think will fit with the group, we request that it be added to our server.

This time, as I say, there were only three of us. I picked your mission because it looked like it would be fun (it's really hard to tell without trying them), and it was. But it wasn't quite what the group would want, that's all.

As I say, don't worry about that. I've got a friend whose Arma 3 group will only play missions that don't allow respawn at all! That's definitely not us, but it's all a matter of different tastes. You can't please everyone, so I'd recommend trying to please yourself. :)

Okay, things for the feedback. I guess for future missions I will now know to take in different ideas to broaden it out for different people.

Also if you do end up hosting my mission again, if you don't mind maybe you can invite me so I can actually test it with other players as well.

As I said, this is just personal preference. You'll find all sorts of different preferences in MP missions, so I wouldn't worry about that. Some people WANT more of a run-and-gun kind of play. Others don't want respawn at all. We're in the middle. We'd rather wait for a teammate to revive us, because we want death to be a deterrent. But we're not hardcore about it.

And yes, there are still a lot of bugs with this stuff. Plus, the game is changing all the time, which tends to break things. For a mission developer, that must be annoying! As it is, this probably isn't a mission we'll want on our Not-Quite-Dead-Yet [not-quite-dead-yet.com] server, but I'm keeping it on my own computer, and I'm sure we'll try it out again.

Thanks for the mission. I appreciate the work you've put into it. But make missions the way YOU want, not me. I was just giving you a little feedback.

I guess I could look into that. I did try to do a revive script by BTC, but then it started to cause me a lot of problems with VAS. So I removed it, also making a Co-Op/MP mission is a bit harder to test out since after I uploaded it here it did not seem that many people have commented on what went good and what went wrong.

I am glad that finally someone that tested my mission has replied so that I know how it went. This was my first time trying out of Co-Op/MP mission.

I haven't played enough of this to tell much (we only had three people, and we were just testing the mission for our group), but I'd much prefer if you added a revive option and made us wait a little bit for respawns (using them only as a last resort). Death just isn't a deterrent now. Also, we had a guy join the mission late, and he started in a helicopter with no way to land it. (He just killed himself by ejecting from it, and then respawed, so it wasn't a big deal.)

Just thought I'd give you some feedback. It was good target practice, but we prefer (and I know it's just personal preference, nothing more) a mission where death seems to be a bad thing. (If you have to wait for a teammate to revive you, that's generally enough of a deterrent for us, and it helps keep the team together. We're not hardcore, just don't like run-and-gun FPS games.)
