How to Play
  • To play the original Tomb Raider II, just launch it from Steam.
  • To play the Golden Mask expansion, open the game folder and run gold\t2gold.exe
Features
This tool is ideal for those looking for an easy automated patch to play Tomb Raider 2 in it's best possible state.
  • Includes the "Golden Mask" Expansion (5 additional levels) without requiring a CD
  • Unlocked resolution support - runs in your native resolution by default (via dgVoodoo[dege.freeweb.hu] wrapper)
  • Widescren Patch by Ed Kurlyak[tombraiders.net] to render the game correctly instead of stretching
  • Widescreen converted menu backgrounds (by TRJTA[www.tombraiderforums.com])
  • Removed FMV scanlines (by Arsunt[github.com])
  • Level bugfix - Floating Islands (by Kaejaris[core-design.com])
  • Level bugfixes - Nightmare in Vegas by TR Fan[onedrive.live.com]
Advanced Configuration (optional)
To change settings, you need to start by opening the game's folder.
For Golden Mask settings, you need to then open the "gold" folder.
  • Run "Configure.bat" to change most settings.
  • If you change resolution, you should also edit "dgVoodoo.conf", scroll to the bottom and input the new resolution there in the format "Resolution = h:1920, v:1080" (where 1920x1080 would be your resolution)

It says "Tomb Raider II requires Microsoft DirectX 5 to be installed"

In [General] section of dgVoodoo.conf replace the value of FullScreenMode from "false" to "true" to play in fullscreen if you have windowed mode despite you choose fullscreen via Configure.bat (Options window)

If only there was a version of this for Tomb Raider 3 and 4... trying to get dgvoodoo working correctly and configuring the widescreen patch is a total pain in the ass.

When I go to the dgVoodoo site my browser tells me the site is malicious. Against my better judgement I proceeded anyway but all the .zip files I downloaded are corrupt... Patch seems to work but I can't play in fullscreen or higher than 30fps so am unsure if this is the 'unpatched' game.

Also, after first launching the game nothing happens, game will only launch after I terminate the process and relaunch.

For those trying to fix the Resolution. In-game, just press F1-F2 to change the view to your preference.

I used this and all was good until the rig level, after a few minutes of being in game the FPS drops to 5 and wont budge til i restart the game, any ideas or should I just emulate this instead?
