An apparent standard issue sidearm for Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.S.C.) operatives in Resident Evil 3 Remake is the 2nd Generation Glock 18 with a protruding compensated barrel (also known as the "G18" in-game). The unrealistic "burst-model" version with the 33 rounds extended magazine is only available for Jill Valentine in the Spencer Memorial Hospital part of the game found in the Makeshift Sickroom, presumably left behind by U.B.C.S. operative Tyrell.

An infamous Austrian select-firing 9mm machine pistol known for it's fully automatic capability, distinguished by the firing selector located on the rear end of the slide from it's semi-automatic counterparts. Due to the nature of the pistol, the Glock 18 was only ever developed and manufactured in relatively small numbers for tactical police units, military and special government agents, however a few had been found in the hands of private gun owners. Unofficially, there are also Glock 17s converted by private gun owners and criminals alike to fire fully automatically like the Glock 18.
