On the afternoon of October 3rd, 1993, a combined force of American Rangers and Delta Force operators dropped into an area of Mogadishu, Somalia, controlled by notorious clan warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid and his loyal militiamen. The Americans’ objective was to capture two of Aidid’s high-ranking lieutenants and get out, but the Aidid and his men had different plans. Two destroyed Black Hawks, 100 American casualties, and twenty-four hours later, the “one-hour” mission ended.

Day of Heroes lets gamers rope down from a Black Hawk with a Chalk of Rangers or step off a Little Bird with Delta Force operators onto the mean streets of Mogadishu, filled with the smell of noxious smoke rising from burning roadblocks, a signal calling Somali militiamen to arms. Play nine scenarios, including the campaign-length scenario, “Day of Heroes”. The Battle of Mogadishu is on, and you can be a part of it.

LnLT Core Rules v5.1;
LnLT Player Aid Cards v5.1;
2 full sheets of American, Pakistani, Somali, and Admin Counters;
New 5.1 Admin Counters (in Admin Counter Crate in separate crate);
2 high-resolution LnLT maps;
Detailed reference charts and TECs;
LnL Tactical Solo Kit with manual, deck, and reference cards;
Some contemporary era background music and battle sounds; and
1 scenario (Chalk 2's Run).

What is a Companion Book?
The Companion Books are the same as the Module Rules and Scenario booklets that are available in our games, with the exception we included most of the charts and tables that come within that game. So why release the Companion book? The Companion Books were designed for those gamers who are playing virtually and did not want to purchase the entire game just for the scenarios and tables to play via Vassal or Tabletop Simulator. So to be clear the Companion Books are NOT complete games but contain everything a player will need to play via Vassal or Tabletop Simulator. Players who prefer to play virtually can do so without the need to own the board (boxed) edition of the game. The Companion Books can be used by players playing digitally via our Digital DLC editions via Steam for their Macs or Windows computers.

So if you own or purchase the board games you don't need to purchase the Companion Books. Some board game owners prefer them since they are spiral bound and will lay flat on the table and any typos or known errors found since the printing of the original edition of the board game has been updated. The Companion books can be used with any game printing or game rule edition.

Please Note: This is not a complete product and requires the use of the free modules via Vassal or Tabletop Simulator or the Digital DLC modules available via Steam. The Companion books can also be used with the Tabletop Boardgame as well.

Other Notes:
The maps in this mod and the counters are scaled in size for the single scenario alone. Players who wish to play multi-map scenarios after purchasing the scenarios from the links below may need to scale down the maps and counters to fit the table.

The older 5.0 rules and PACs are still there but put away in a separate crate in the Admin Counter Crate.

This mod incorporates Mangofeet's (here on TTS) stack exploder mod which allows stacks to be examined with a right click and choosing the explode option. We plan to incorporate this functionality across all LnLP mods if no issues develop.
