Calamity Mod Guide (On Hiatus)
By Picco-chan and 2 collaborators
This Guide is only meant to please my boredom and nothing else.
Please remember this guide isn't perfect and I know that as well because I have never made a guide and I want to do this for myself and the community.
This guide may be long but I will try to be as specific as I and my team can be in this Guide and if we do that something from the Wiki itself we will put the credits towards that part after all you will get no where in life if you take someone else's work.
This Guide will go through Recipes in the future.
Comment section you can say this is from the wiki which I dont care what so ever but I did state that it can be found on the wiki...

This will not be finished in a week but most likely in a Month by myself or with my bud but if you have any questions leave them in the
comments.

THIS ALL CAN ALSO BE FOUND ON THE FANDOM WIKI

Calamity itself and how it progresses.
In Calamity you're going to start out the same as everyone and everywhere the middle and on Pre-Hardmode of course.

Where does Calamity begin?

It starts off at the start of Spawn and you begin with a Starter Bag, that grant several items.
You spawn with 3 items that belong to Calamity Mod and two items change the world and the other is to start you off with some things.(Revengence has its own section)
  • Iron Heart This item is one of the most brutal changes towards the mod from my own experience because it changed how you die towards Bosses only and not towards the environment.
If you are killed by any boss you will be under Hardcore settings while a boss is alive, and once death has occured you will turn into a ghost and be force to to start a new character. This item can be turned off.
Your hearts will be turned into mini skulls to show that Iron Hearts is on.

Once you have opened the Start bag you will receive various items and two items that don't look normal which are called Death and Defiled Rune. (Death will be explained in a different section.)
  • Defiled Rune This will disable flight which mean Wings will no longer work what so ever but you can use the item again to disable the effects. Enemies give 50% more money when killed.
  • You have better chance at getting Rare Vanilla drops (By +5%) and any drop that is under 5% in Calamity automatically to 5%. (Thank you, captainkronox)

Exploration
Once you have gone through the items in your inventory you will probably be exploring the surface of the world to find where the Corruption/Crimson is located and where the Dungeon is located. If you found your Dungeon and went to the ocean it probably looks different well this is cause this Biome is call the Sulphurous Sea and this hold 2 Hard mode Bosses and the Abyss below it. (The Abyss will have its own section)

Does the world change in Pre-Hardmode or in Hardmode.

The first changes occur are after the Wall of Flesh has been beaten and various messages are said by the system.
Revengence Mode
Revengence Mode Changes

Revengeance Mode This mode enable only on Expert Mode and it will add two bars on the screen call Rage and Adrenaline. (These two changed will be explained later in the guide.)
  • Once this has been active Enemies changes in a few different ways.
  • Enemies drops twice the moneys and theirs spawns are boosted by 15%.
  • Before any Boss is defeated players will be given a 20% Damage reduction towards anything.
  • "Life regen scales from 50% effectiveness at full HP to 100% effectiveness at 1 HP." (Taken from the wiki)
  • This mode will allow you to use Death and the Defiled Rune.

In Revengence Mode enemies will have Damage Reduction and it will depend on what type of Enemy and Boss and it will take longer than normal to kill them.

Enemy and AI Changes

  • A common change in Revengeance is that enemies and bosses will inflict Horror or Marked
(These two effects will be discussed later).
  • Vanilla enemy will be immune to certain life steal effects.
  • Few enemies will be immune to K.B such as Wraiths, Mimics (Includes Present Mimics), Reapers, and Sand Elements.
  • "In Hardmode, projectiles fired by Goblin Sorcerers, Tim, and Goblin Summoners inflict Shadowflame as well as Shadowflame Apparations." (Taken from Wiki directly.)
  • Lihzahrds now transform around 80% - 85% HP. (Possibly wrong unsure.
  • "Cursed Hammers, Enchanted Swords, and Crimson Axes attack the player without interruption, even when hit, when their HP are below 50%." (Taken from Wiki.)
Adrenaline and its Effects
What does Adrenaline do?

Adrenaline is a mechanic which only activates and works in a Boss fight and will continue to fill to full if you are not damaged in anyway. It take a full 45 seconds to fill but can be lowered to 20 seconds with items.

What does Adrenaline do?
  • Once active the player will receive a buff for 150% increased Damage.
Can you make the Adrenaline fill faster?
Yes you can fill it faster with 3 items in total that reduces the time to fill by 25 seconds.
The items listed below lower the time.
  • Electrolyte Gel Pack, reduces time by 10 seconds.
  • Starlight Fuel Cell, reduces time by 10 seconds.
  • Ectoheart, reduces time by 5 seconds.
Each of these items are acquired through boss fights and through the grab bags.

When Rage is added to the Mix

When Rage and Adrenaline are active together the player will have a boost of 300%.
If you either have the Heart of Darkness or Daedon's Heart you will have a boost of 330%

Rage and its Buffs
How does Rage affect you?

Rage is another mechanic like Adrenaline which affects the players stats will only fill by being hit by any enemy or its projectiles. Unlike Adrenaline long cool down Rage has a one second cool down.

What are its buffs?
  • Once you activate rage you will earn a 50% boost in base damage and the boost can increased with accessories.
  • Draedon's Heart or Heart of Darkness will add 15% damage towards the Rage effect. (If both are equipped only one will work.)
Death Mode
What is Death Mode?

Death Mode is a boost in Difficulty after Revengence and it changes Bosses, the environment, the AI and adds a few unique Pets towards end-game. (There are only two unique items in Death Mode.)

Its only gets harder each time you progress in-game.

What are its general changes?
  • Enemy Damage gets a decent boost by 15%.
  • The Nurse will not heal anyone or anything except herself during a Boss Fight.
  • De-buffs that deal damage overtime will deal twice the damage.
  • "Bosses will randomly spawn if their respective conditions are met and if not killed once. This will be forewarned one minute in advance with a status message stating "Something is approaching..."."
    (Taken from the wiki)
    • This has a cooldown of 1 in-game day.
    • "To work out which boss will be spawned, look at the table below for the first boss that hasn't been defeated. If its conditions are met, then this boss will be the one that is spawned." (From the Wiki)
    • Bosses will only spawn if the player is has or is above 300 HP.
    • The possibility of a boss spawn is 1 in 50,000 of every frame (0.002%).
      • "This translates to a 0.12% chance (1 in 833.33) every second, or a 7.2% chance (1 in 13.88) every minute." (Taken from the Wiki because it looked weird without explaining anything.)
Environmental Changes

Once Death Mode is Active the Environment will change either slightly or dramatically.

Snow/Tundra Biome
The Tundra will only show its changes during a Blizzard or if he is in Icy Water during a Blizzard.
  • Once the player has entered he/she will have around 30 seconds to get out of the Tundra or make a Campfire to prevent frostbite/death.
    • If the player enters water they will be slowed and double the effects unless they are wearing Arctic Diving Gear.
    • The rate of the of the Biomes' effect can deteriorate depending what sources you use or where you go. Lava is the quickest way to remove the Tundras effect.
Underworld
The Underworlds changes is can be rough for starters but you will adapt as you go.
  • Once you enter the Underworld you will receive 5 debuff's ("On Fire!", "Weak", "Slow", "Confused", and "Burning".) and these debuff's will appear non-stop every 6 seconds until you leave the Underworld.

Hi. Somehow, this guide is still recommended to me. Thus, I'd like to ask: is it possible for someone to continue this thing? It could be useful.
