gm_oceantown_night

Description
A cool ocean night on a small concrete island, sitting in a vast sea.

This is a nighttime version of my 'gm_oceantown' map, which you can find here:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2133838930

Features:
Full(*) AI Noding
Several elevator bridges
2 small hangars
3 enclosed buildings
A functioning crane
A runway
A few more little secrets
And more!

IMPORTANT!:
SAVING YOUR GAME WITH WIREMOD INSTALLED WILL CRASH YOUR GAME, 'SAVE' USING ADVANCED DUPLICATOR INSTEAD.

AI noding:
NPCs may struggle to get across the actuated bridges without player help. This has to do with the way source builds nodes over solid brushes and not actuated ones.

This map has been converted to a night map, with the the only real addition being one more little easteregg.

Sorry if the map doesn't run as well as others, optimizing large maps in source can be a little difficult.

like what? do those mods require a 3d skybox?

It isn't, it lacks the necessary features for such day and night cycle systems.

there's a day version that should do just that.

Would of been good if this was compatible with weather/day cycle systems.

Thats strange, considering the map uses all stock assets.

for some reason it started havin a bunch of missing textures. I played once another time and nothing happened, ike the entire map was perfectly fine.

The thing is: source really does not have the capability to make good looking actually moving water. In order to do that id have to increase the map's vertical size (which is impossible, as the map uses up most of the space source sdk allocates) to encompass the water block when its not flooding the map, plus the moving/flooding water textures look really cheap, and do not use real time distortion or reflections. Lastly, I don't know how well source would handle a moving entity that big. So, no, a floodable map is. out of the question.
