The Unfrozen

Description
Why were you frozen? Was it by choice? Was it done with care?

Now you are awake in the jungles of Qud, with no way home.

Adds a new genotype of ancient baseline humans with nine origins to choose from.

CEO: You were able to afford being frozen carefully.

Trial Patient: Cold provokes a cryosleep response in your altered body.

Scientist: Once you perfected the procedure, you used it on yourself.

Mass-Frozen: Millions went into the tanks, prepped carelessly. Only you emerged, and not unscathed.

Demagogue: Your followers made sure you survived. But what is this awful new world?

Chrononaut: You were chosen and trained for a one-way expedition into the future.

Missionary: You were sent forward in time to preserve the true faith.

Lottery Winner: You won a place in a cryopod. You have no skills that matter in this new world.

Convict: Your case, they said, was so severe that they had to freeze you.

Personal Doctor: You were meant to heal the Great Ruler in his new life

Personal Guard: You were meant to protect the Great Ruler in his new life

Personal Chef: You were meant to feed the Great Ruler in his new life

Personal Entertainer: You were meant to entertain the Great Ruler in his new life

They're intended to be more challenging than mutants or true kin.

Known issues: You still get the intro message talking about Joppa when you start as an unfrozen character.

imagine geting put into cryosleep for tax evasion, only to wake up thousands if not millions of years into the future, and now the earth in a post apocalyptic wasteland filled with mutants and sentient plants.

Yeah, scientist makes sense. I'm still hoping that the game will get updated in a way that lets me override the "welcome to joppa" message before I do another pass.

Re: brain damage, uh, I mean brain damage can be arbitrarily bad?

I liked the low stats, they have decent starting gear and feel more human-playing than the true-kin, i just find their sprites absurdly ugly tough, heh but its just the art everything else is cool.

Well at the least the scientist , right? they are from the past and surely had machines to do their job, some models might be recognized and most stuff in Qud are industrial bots aside from the leering stalker and the crhome piramid.

Listen, all I'm saying is that -3 score modifier is functionally retarded and incapable of understanding even the most basic technology (like a folding chair or plastic tree). Someone from the past, no matter how brain damaged is still smarter than a degenerate mutant abomination who can't even understand what glasses are.

decent mod, but you forgot the rebuke robots on them as they are humans so the machines compile as a master.

hey can you actually lower their intelligence, personally I have come out of cyrosleep and I gotta say its left me with severe brain damage

the reason this needs to be fixed is because its really hard to believe your from the past if you cant even understand what folding chair is.
