How to Extract Re-mastered Music from C&C

Allows user to play the audio files without having the game open. This method extracts the Music .MEG file located in the Command & Conquer™ Remastered Collection folder.
How to Extract Re-mastered Music from C&C
1. Download a copy of located at the following website -

2. Extract into any folder you choose and run bigeditor.exe

3. In the program Select File --> Open -->.

4. Navigate to
Default install directory - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\CnCRemastered\Data


Custom location for game install files.

5. Select "MUSIC.MEG"

6. Select all the files in the left tab that have the file extension ".WAV"

7. Drag and drop the highlighted files to your desktop.

8. Extracted music will be located in a folder on the desktop called DATA
(Specific directory is Desktop\DATA\AUDIO\MUSIC)

9. Enjoy Hell March Remastered. :)

Thank you for your article, but although the file extension is .wav, the format is ADPCM. This is a lossy compression that is worse than MP3. Considering that the compression size is to be placed in the game, it should be a reasonable approach. If you want to enjoy the best sound quality, you still need to wait for the music files or CDs included in the Special Edition or 25th Anniversary Edition.

i honestly feel like if there going to advertise the game and state it comes with over 12 hrs of music or whatever then really it should comes with a file with 12 hr of music on it

Is it possible to use the same editor to add more music to the same file? I would like to add music from Dune 2000 to the jukebox, and I have the OST from that game on my comp.
