You're absolutely correct RedFist, normally this is a risk and I do usually try to spread them out. If I recall correctly on this playthrough because I was face-rolling everything I never got around to/had the need to change it.

Or the AI hasn't attempt such Manoeuvres during your game play, because i mix up the power generator around my ship, as targeting cluster power generator is a favorite strategy off mine.

Wouldn't the Enemy target your clump together power generators, and if lucky or with enough guns, disable your power supply/ship.

Plus it all ignores shields, so enemy ships just melt before the first volley is even over.
