Description
Waypoint Station Redux
A Level 20 Tier 3 Size Class 4 Base

This is a Rebuild \ Modification of jrandall's Waypoint Station.

Thoughts:
I first came across this Base in a Game as a POI. And thought it was awesome.
Then I noticed its now part of the Base prefabs for the Game.
So, I decided to see if I could do some Modifications to it.
Honestly, I was unaware it was a jrandall product until I was mostly done with the Mods.
And looked for the Author info, to give them credit.


The Rebuild:
Moved ALL the Fuel and O2 containers to underneath the Base.
Surrounded it with steel and used the Yellow stripe caution paint to note it.
Upgraded all the LCD Signs to current models, a lot of them were upgraded to LCD Projectors
Removed the On\Off Switch for the Defense system. No reasons anymore to turn off your Defensive system.
Replaced all the (retractable) weapons with their non retractable versions.
Cleaned out the Personal Quarters at the top of the tower.
Converted it into the Shield Room.

Fabrication Room & Side hallway to Side Exit
Removed one Advanced Constructor the moved the Deconstructor to that location.
Removed all the cargo boxes, the ammo box, The 4 Fridges & two food processors.
Also relocated the Clone chamber to the Med Bay.
Added a Container Controller for Constructors Input with 152k volume.
Moved the On\Off switch to Constructors to opposite wall next to constructors.
Used the space in the floor from removal of cargo boxes.
Now has a Container Controller for Constructors Output with 80k volume.

I was not a fan of the original location of the Core, so I moved it to the Fabrication room.
It is now in the location that used to belong to the Deconstructor.
I also moved the two T3 CPU extenders next to it. Then covered them with Heavy Windows.
On the side of the "Core Chamber" I place a Container Controller with 48k Volume.
For use as the Deconstructor Input.
Moved the Armor locker from hallway, next to the Repair console.
Added a Medic Station and a Wireless Connection
I used a Container Controller for Ammo with 132k Volume.
In the empty space in Hallway from removal of O2 tanks.
The Side exit now has a Medic Station & O2 Station one on each side of the door.
I also added two Sentry Guns to the Hallway, as the Core is now down here.
The Cargo Box area in the Hanger, is now Shipping & Receiving. Complete with a Check in Desk.
Sickbay now has a Clone Chamber and a Meds (food) Processor & Meds Fridge.
Added access to the Elevator from the Waypoint Bar & Grill
In the Garden I removed one of the Food Processors.
Changed the Fridges to a different model and added a 3rd fridge
Moved the Ventilator up one block.

The empty space from moving the Core was converted into a Teleport Station.
- The Teleporter has been installed with a Sensor on it to help save on power consumption.
- When you stand on the Teleporter it will turn off the Shields and turn on the Teleporter.
- Once you Teleport out it will deactivate the Teleporter and turn the Shields back on.

Removed the 2 Small Generators and replaced them with a Large T1 Generator.
Move the Solar Capacitor to empty space from the Small Generators & added a second one.
Added some Crew to keep an eye on things and labeled the door.
Changed the Door leading to the Landing Pad to a Double Wide.

This is one sweet base. Definitely for mp. Would love to have an sp verson of this I could slap down on different planets. Great work on the update.

Injunuity Thank you for the Info. I have fixed the Problem (hopefully) Seems I had to Many sentry Guns. And I am still going to not use the retractable weapons. We have Shields now that will make up for the loss of HP on the Weapons. Other then That Hope you enjoy jrandall's Waypoint Station.

Doc; the HP for the reg vs retractable is what's noticeable, the latter have more, the former a lot less. also, the former don't retract unless the power's off. that being said, when i tried loading the BP, it came up orange in the list. not sure what'd cause that, but it's been one of the few that does so far.

There is no longer any reason to turn off your Base Defense. Because It's 100% your Base will be attacked. Whether by Drones or Ground forces. And because you need your Base weapons to be "hot" all the time, it makes no sense to use retractable weapons. I hope that helps

I love the original. But can you explain these two changes?:

I'm not familiar with all the recent changes to the game.
