Description

Story

You are an underground Biologist studying Xen creatures for purpose in helping the resistance. After a recent transgression above ground, it seems the Combine have found out about your deeds and are at your door - trying to stop it. Your objective is to escape the war torn area filled with creatures and combine. Break through the final combine checkpoint to successfully escape.

Features:

Scripted scenes. Hidden and unhidden.
Large open areas.
Unique puzzles.
99 Resin placed around the map. When you see the upgrade station, prepare for a large fight.

Important Notes:

This map was made with unofficial tools before the official tools came out. The map has been ported to the official tools and bug fixes have been made to the best of my ability. This was a difficult process.
Be sure to explore all areas you can. It was built to have a large sandbox area with little linearity.
If you see Red Barrels placed around the map in strange ways, be sure to shoot them. There may be surprises tied to them.

Not bad for a first map, but there are a few issues I have with this map:
* It was not obvious where to go with the first combine shield, I almost quit before realizing there is a hackable thing near the gate
* The intro is weird, there's an elevator button that glows, but does nothing
* The encounter in upgrade room is too claustrophobic, the lighting headcrab thingy is really annoying to find in closed space like that, every encounter in Alyx has it in a much more open area.
* Enemies shoot extremely fast, killing you near instantly in many cases
