Thank you so much for the high praise, and congrats for solving this tricky puzzle! This map is definitely one of my best accomplishments and it's honestly surprising that I managed to reach such a result with my first monoportal map xD
Indeed I figured the knockout move would be too tedious to make work if the player had to find the exact place where to put the cube, so the floor hint felt vital to me. Fun fact: that maneuver wasn't originally planned, it occurred to me as a necessity in the design process. The core move of the map was supposed to be the way you have to point the second laser at the relay to avoid the weighted cube from respawning , but I guess the knockout kind of stole the show!
Conclusion: a huge thumbs up and an instant favourite!
Whining on a high level: the visibility of the key move could be better. Just because of the target sign and since a former experiment was showing that a cube had reached the other side pretty fast I could assume it was such a flat curve which could come in handy. Btw I used a lot of F6/F7 over the whole course, which included testing the faith plate myself in order to confirm this.
I'm out of words, what a masterpiece! So many hidden and creative moves. I'd definitely rate the map a 7/10 because of this.
What can I say... I had a rough start as usual, then I tried a lot of things but none of them would work until I finally saw (how) I'm supposed to save the weighted cube. I'm so thankful for the floor hints , though I was thinking they were only hinting at blocking the laser ;-) ...anyway, I made some progress and was able to set up the key move. Luckily it occured to me fairly quickly - a shallow trajectory is always suspicious :-P plus knowing about an "unorthodox move that works in 8-9 out of 10 times" helped
The intertwining moves that came afterwards ( portal/laser management & cube sacrifices ) were so enjoyable! My jaw kept dropping more and more :D
Exiting the chamber felt massively rewarding, after all the pain I was going through ;-)
Thank you for playing, and for the big compliment! Well done to you for solving it, the map is quite tricky!
Your cube throw skipped a nice move, but hey, well done solving it still!
Thanks, it was fun to watch your solving process live!
Thanks a lot for playing and for the nice words! This puzzle isn't easy by any feast, and I'm happy you felt satisfaction upon solving it. And yep, indeed there's a hidden contraption to prevent the floating laser cube glitch, as it was messing up with the move where you need to bump the laser cube out of the way by flinging the other cube with the faith plate, due to the glitch the laser cube just stayed still.
