yes if i use 2 slots forthe big one and 1 slot for the small one i come up with 87 slots in total

It's a small 0.8x0.8x0.8 magenta block right in front of the front most hangars. You can easily find it by showing only framework and selecting the entire ship, then press "f" to focus on the block, as there's only the one framework block (if I recall corretly)
