Marvel Champions Automated

Welcome True Believers

This is a mod for the Marvel Champions LCG by Fantasy Flight Games. I've worked to automate certain aspects of set up to make this easier to set up, and a bit lower memory for the intial load. Just about EVERYTHING in the mod is stored inside a bag so the initial loading time is fairly short.

Also please buy the game. For real, people work hard to make this product available for us. You can purchase directly from fantasy flight at or go to your Friendly Local Game Store and get a copy there.

By that I mean not all of the features are fully baked. Not everything will work cleanly. I also know that this is a part time project and if I wait till it's fully baked I'll never actually release it to ya'll. I've been using this for my weekly game with friends for over 2 months now.

Deck Imports from MarvelCDB
Dynamic table size based on number of players
Quick setup of encounters and heros
More as I get more time and gumption to add them

How To Use
At the top of the table, click the small red box to open the menu. All setup is driven from that menu. You can also use the following scripting keys

Scripting key 3 - Main mod Menu
Scripting key 1 - Hero Builder
Scripting key 2 - Encounter Builder
Scripting key 4 - Players Panel

We all stand on the shoulders of giants. Thanks to everyone who helped make this mod happen. Listed in alphabetical order:

Anesthesia for Marvel Champions The Big Box which is where I get my card scans.
Crimson for Marvel Champions LCG which is where I learned about what a good mod for Marvel Champions would look like.
Grabben for creating the ArkhamDB Deck Builder For Arkham Horror LCG which is where this mod all got started.
McBober for McBober's Marvel Champions Mods - Star Wars because the playmat is great.
Mr Stump for the FlexTable which is what I use for the dynamic player space

Hello. This mod is awesome, are there any plans to update this to include more enemy encounters?

Hi FunkyMonkeyMonk,
First, thank you, this is awesome. I own all of the content for MC and will continue to do so, so coming here was strictly for custom play. That being said, I have three questions/concerns that is likely due to my ignorance and I'm sure you can help clear up.
1. I don't see anywhere that has a bag that is filled with just aspect/basic cards so I can grab one of the custom player decks and build a deck on the spot. I ultimately went through the player preconstructed decks on the bottom left and pulling stuff out.
2. Most all of the custom content on the villain side has cards of varying sizes. That means I can't add encounter decks to the villain decks to play. I also couldn't find the standard and expert encounter set. Can I resize, and do you have those encounter sets located somewhere?
3. This is more of a request, could you make 'alt' make the cards even bigger? Also, something I'm happy to adjust on my end if that is possible...
Thank you again!

Hey @FunkyMonkeyMonk, I ran into a bug and wrote up an issue about it! Long story short, when trying to load a new deck from MarvelCDB, I get an error about concatenating to a nil. Let me know if I can get you more info or if it seems this bug is just me! :d2naturesprophet:

Not sure if anyone checks the change notes so I'm posting here as well.

This update has been a big one so I wanted to write a proper release announcement. Dr. Strange is released and the decks have been updated to support all cards released through Dr Strange. Adding Dr. Strange was a unique difficulty as he has special hero setup requirements. I rewrote massive chunks of the setup code to support custom hero setups and I'm looking forward to using this to do some further automation in the hero setup.

Special setups have also been more fleshed out in encounters. For encounters this means that more of the setup will be done for you as well as some helpful reminder broadcasts. This also opens up the door for more complicated setups like what we are expecting for Kang.

Thanks for hanging in there and using the mod. Remember please support Fantasy Flight as without them we don't have a card game tp play.

Hey folks. New version is up. If you see any issues let me know on the Github page. While I try to be active here, I track most of my work in github.

@FunkyMonkeyMonk Thanks for the update. No pressure. Great content takes time and this is the best Marvel Champions mod out there!

I've been working on it. Dr. Strange requires a bit more work for the setup because of the additional deck so I've been using it as a time to do a bunch of clean up and reorganization on the code. Stay tuned. It's in flight.

@FunkyMonkeyMonk Any idea when the Dr. Strange cards will be available?
