Cuebox introduces the whole new dimension of fun. Literally!

It is the first 3D pool game with zero gravity. Play Cuebox in beautiful HD graphics and discover the dimension of billiards you have never encountered before! Compete against a friend or in single player mode playing classic 8-ball and 9-ball games that are extended to three dimensions!

Teaser presents the graphics quality we are aiming to provide for the Steam version. Gameplay and screenshots are from the mobile version of the app. Gameplay Trailer (second video) presents the dynamics and physics of the game which is the same as in the desktop edition.

It can be found on the App Store :

This version is stripped of many features that will be added to the desktop game, like shadows, high texture resolution , multiple particle and flare effects and many more, but it's still a quality game when you take mobile devices performance into account.

We’ve started working on Cuebox at the beginning of 2013. Our goal from the beginning was to create a unique game which improves the classic game of billiards. We’ve tried to develop the game that can be released for both desktop and mobile devices at the same time .This turned out to be more complicated than we thought which resulted in a little change of plans. So we’ve focused mainly on the game/physics engine which will be the same in both editions. We’ve decided to go with the mobile version first, as it is much simpler.

Now the mobile version is ready so for the past weeks we’ve been introducing PC* features to the game. (Some of them were prepared but stripped from mobile due to the performance issues)
To sum up, the mouse/keyboard input is ready , the new GUI is programmed but waiting for our graphic designer to catch up ( we can’t show it yet ). Other stuff just need to be put together.

Next stage will be to provide support for Oculus Rift and non-conventional controllers.

3-4 weeks after Greenlit, minimum January 2014.

Interesting concept...just not sure why pool needed to be played while trapped in a box in outer space.

The game's picture looks like fish eggs, rather than billiards.

There are a couple of exceptions to this of course. One example would be Bloons Tower Defense 5, which began on PC, then moved over to mobile changing almost nothing besides moving a couple of buttons around, and it's still as fun to play there as it is on PC. I don't know if this game will be like BTD5 in its success, but I don't doubt it will be successful on at least one of its proposed OS's.
