Ocational thread from ripping clothes is vanilla way to farm thread for tailoring.
Recycling sheets tp recycled thread and later to something else is a good way to level tailoring if you cant find DIY tailoring book.

@Strider That would be a wrong recipe then - get scissors and some of either denim or cloths strips and use recipe "LTS Recycle Cloth"

I need more twine than I have. I've been ripping clothes to get sheets but it's giving 'thread' not 'recycled thread' and so I can't turn it into twine. Any ideas?
