Characters are more durable, but harder to fix. +20 life per level, but start at 75% healing mod. Meant to reduce the occurrence of getting oneshot in exchange for increased damage pressure in general.

That's a good suggestion, and I actually considered just improving life rating directly which would solve that issue, but life rating is a bit odd. Crunching the numbers giving low life rating enough of a boost to survive would have hilariously massive effects on already high life rating classes. Not thirty seconds ago, I had a zerker take a 1.1k hit at Lv30 from a GWF fan of knives, and lower life rating magey type would be toast even at a doubled life rating. A flat addition seemed to serve the purpose of protecting all characters well enough without making the more life-heavy characters just crazy.

This isn't a complex addon or anything, just a simple bandaid to deal with crazy damage variance in the current version. A comprehensive and thoroughly fair anti-spike damage addon would probably have to also do something about damage shields, too. Or maybe provide all characters with some kind of specialized damage reduction similar to ghoul's racial.

Seems like this would disproportionately affect characters with naturally low health vs ones with high health, since it is a flat addition.

Perhaps you could instead increase life per level to 1.5x along with the 75% healmod? Instead of a flat 20 that isn't affected by race/class?

If you were using the older version of this addon, it was mistakenly removing escorts. All fixed in this version.

Additionally, after a couple of days of testing it out on a dozen characters up to T2 or so, I haven't yet been oneshot at all, much less by any individual enemy.
