Greenlit, aiming for Feb 27th Release, and KS Rewards on track!
Release date: Available now (web client), Windows client available on, Demo Windows client available on the main website, and TBA o
Ascent is a PVE Space MMO with 270,000,000,000 star systems.

In a future where civilisation has almost completely collapsed, players must work together to prevent total disaster, and rebuild a new civilisation of their own choosing.

So far, completed features include:

  • Combat (fighter style dogfighting, and big ship broadside duels)
  • Trading
  • Mission system (combat, transport, passengers, courier, supply, demand)
  • Asteroid mining
  • Farming and mining on planet surfaces
  • Personal starbase construction
  • Research
  • Manufacturing (you can build and customise your ships, including custom color schemes)
  • Interaction with other players (you can see their ships in space, trade with them on the global market, and galaxy-wide chat is enabled)
  • Gas giant harvesting. (because sometimes you need things like hydrogen and oxygen!)
  • Exploration and Colonization in a galaxy of 270 billion star systems

We release a new major version roughly once every month.

In the beginning the game is crazily simple / easy to get into, especially if you choose the industrialist rather than combat-oriented starting position. However, the level of difficulty and complexity steadily ramp up and up, along with the rewards. See our design & vision statements on the website for further details.

Currently the game is playable on Windows and Mac using the Unity3d web client, directly through our website ( and a PC client is available through Desura[], and hopefully soon Steam as well.

I am a huge fan. Started playing 3 months ago, and have seen new features and graphics updates weekly. The community is friendly and helpful. The sheer scope of this game is staggering.

6 months I've been playing this game. It gets better weekly. The community is the best in any game. Dev updates nearly daily. Land, explore 270 BILLION systems, named after the discoverer, get blueprints, build your own ships/modules, rig for hauling, mining, or combat. Premium $8.91 for 3 months, 1/2 EVE's cost for 1, no gate ganking. Build settlements, or colonies. Trrade, colonists npc's require (med supplies, food, water, entertainment, hospitals, college, higher level jobs, get bonues). More to come. Build outer space stations-unlimited modules, build inner starbase up to 100 rings. Combat, fight some npc pirates. Graphics Improved 100 fold in the last month, new ships styles, paint, textures for planets and oceans too. It's free to demo, but premium is definitely worth the few measly dollars just to expand your game. This game has had me hooked since the first night I've been playing nearly every night since last June.

playing this game give you the feel of being in the universe, jump gates at first then later you can add an jump engine to your ship and jump to places on you nav map. this game has many ships, star bases to buy/sell get contracts to complete. money to buy better ships can be made easily if you watch the contracts on the star bases. P.S. use autopilot to get to jump gates or star bases easily, or just fly around.
