[OBSOLETE] Restore lost progress after today's beta update (3.00)

The developer, Computer Lunch, changed the save game's location and forgot to migrate it for us. So we have to do it by hand. Twice now. Step by step instructions:

Restore lost progress after today's beta update (3.00)

Computer Lunch fails at AppData - Cell to Singularity renamed to Cells
The new folder's date is: ‎2019. ‎november ‎28. ‎Today, ‏‎43 minutes ago (Cells) vs
The old folder's date is: 2019. ‎november ‎27. ‎Yesterday, ‏‎22:58:31 (Cell to Singularity)

The developer, Computer Lunch, changed the save game's location and forgot to migrate it for us. So we have to do it by hand.

Step by step instructions:

Go find your AppData\Local folder: ⊞ Start → Run… → %APPDATA%\..\LocalLow
Mine is at C:\Users\3ICE\AppData\LocalLow\
Enter the Computer Lunch folder, and you will find two subfolders in there:
Cell to Singularity
and
Cells
Rename/merge — or move the contents of — "Cell to Singularity" into "Cells" and start the game as normal.

Congratulations!

We are done, and no progress was lost after all. Just a tiny subfolder name typo mess up.

Common mistake:

LocalLow\Computer Lunch\Cells\Cell to Singularity\savedGames.gd
Correct path: LocalLow\Computer Lunch\Cells\savedGames.gd
If a directory with the name "Cells" already exists. Do not let Windows stupidly move the "Cell to Singularity" directory into this as a subdirectory. Delete it instead and try renaming again.

Side effects

Offline progress will not be awarded today (for 8 hours since the previous night).
I also lost all my Singularities. But martian colonies, superhumans, all my upgrades, dinos progress were all fully restored.
Buy back max amount you can of Singularity and you're back to where you started. Almost.

Edit:
Another side effect: Able to claim all social media rewards again (discord, facebook, insta, reddit, twitter, etc): +2 +1 +1 +1 +1 darwinium gained (6 total)

Alternative fix (loss of some data)

If you don't want to mess with AppData, then there might be another way; You could try uninstalling the beta and reinstalling only the release version (opt out of beta). The old version will use the old folder, where your save is. However this might not work as well as manually moving the save over. Dinosaurs are not in the release version, for one. It is unknown how will the game handle your dinos progress. I assume (hope) it will ignore it until beta becomes release, but it is possible it will just erase it all, or even fail to load anything.
Also you won't be able to play the beta if you stay on the release branch. So there's that. Do not do this uninstall-beta-reinstall-release unless absolutely necessary.

If you have followed this guide, the fix will break your save again and it will be reverted as if you have not played yet today. But if you follow the guide again in reverse order, you'll get those 17 hours back:

I'll write an undo guide as soon as I figure out how to undo it. So far I'm down 17 hours of progress and my dinos are two resets old. (13 vs 11, lost access to everything above Sauropoda tier)

Edit: The fix was easy enough, I just loaded the wrong backups at first. Oops. Anyway... Rename "Cells" back to "Cell to Singularity" taking care not to let windows merge the folders and put (2) after the file names. You want to overwrite everything.
