The FN FAL and a custom built L1A1 from Insurgency: Sandstorm. Replaces the FAL and L1A1

  • Uses original Sandstorm animations, although some INS2 ones were used because of animation length/blending issues
  • Jiggleboned sling mounts
  • Rear sight flips down when attaching an optic to mitigate clipping
  • Has a world model
  • Has a VGUI Icon
  • And yes, it's GGX

Note: The L1A1 is built from various custom parts. Don't complain about it not being 1:1 to a real L1A1, it's as good as much I was willing to spend my time making it.

Note #2: It's not possible to make these fully standalone because they share the same model for the 30 round magazine and bipod.

Foregrips gave high visual recoil, as if the gun was kicking back more than expected. Animation was extremely lengthy when resupplying. My character took forever to check the mag and pull the charging handle after resupplying. I had to manually switch weapons to cancel the animation.

Other than that, the mod seems fine. My only nitpick complaint is that it needed the Sandstorm shared resources pack to complete the package, which really isn't much of an issue.

I found that the L1A1 and Fal have higher visual recoil when using the foregrip. If the foregrip is being used, the optic you have attached will bounce back towards your screen more when shooting. Once you take the foregrip off, the optic no longer looks like it's hitting you in the eye anymore. Not sure why it does that, just thought I'd bring this to your attention.

Nice looking gun , very Enjoyable to use seems like the Laser got F up
I dunno if it's the mod's bug or my issue , if there's no problem to anyone else then I'll check mine again , because eh....I don't have any mods that relates to any lasers / FAL or L1A1
So I suspect the mod has laser issue(the laser simply stays in the middle of the screen and not following the gun muzzle.) keep up the Nice work!

could you port THE FAL with the normal empty reload (NOT tactical fast reload)... will be G3 next project?
