Tired of dinosaurs? Of course you aren’t, but sometimes we want a little change in our diet. Dead Survival does just that. You can swap out the wildlife of the game with some… not-quite life? Zombies… We’re trying to say you can have zombies. Lots and lots of zombies. Hordes of them, even!

Think DayZ but in ARK.

Recommended Settings
  • Use -NoDinos launch parameter to disable all dino spawning.
  • Use normal harvest settings.
  • Use a longer night cycle by setting "NightTimeSpeedScale" to less than 1.
  • Don't try to force tame the zombies... Just don't. :D

Important Stuff
  • Zombies are attracted to sounds (bloater explosions, gunshots, firecrackers, force-opening locks, etc).
  • Zombie attacks cause zombie plague. It can be cured with zombie plague cure. It can be crafted in the workbench using resources looted from scientists.
  • Zombies can attack and damage wooden and stone structures. Metal structures may take fractional damage in the future.
  • Zombies can see farther during the day.
  • Every night there is a chance that a zombie horde will spawn around a random player. Horde zombies have yellow eyes and drop more loot than regular zombies.
  • Every ten (10) minutes there is a 5% chance of an airdrop plane flying overhead that drops parachute crates full of supplies. Watch the skies!
  • This mod is under heavy development so please be kind! <3

  • Time-of-Day Spawning Density
  • Time-of-Day Zombie Awareness
  • Craftable Distractions (fireworks, klaxons, sirens, car alarms, bile jars, etc)
  • Healing Items (pills, health packs, etc)
  • Air Drops (replaces vanilla supply drops with parachute, crate, and smoke)
  • Drivable Military & Civilian Vehicles (will likely need to be repaired)
  • NPC Vendors

  • Additional walker models (women, kids, etc).
  • Ability to ride juggernaut.
  • First iteration of modular building items (walls, floors, destroyed vehicles, etc).
  • First iteration of melee weapons.
  • First iteration of ranged weapons.

  • Firecrackers (already in-game)

Planned Consumables
  • Adrenaline Shot
  • First Aid Kit

  • Plague Cure (cures player of infection)

  • Incendiary Ammo
  • Explosive Rounds

Planned Structures
  • Weapons Station - Used to craft weapons and ammunition.
  • Medical Station - Used to craft items like plague cure, first aid kids, pain pills, and adrenaline shots.
  • Foot Locker - It’s a place to keep your items! Immune to zombie attacks.
  • Barrels, Vehicles, Tire Piles - Will have multiple variants.
  • Modular Building Set - Walls, floors, ceilings, etc.


This mod took a lot of time and resources to create. Also, 3d models and animations ain't cheap! :) Like all of our mods, this one will be always free. I am kind of new to using mods on ark. Where do I go to activate this mod? When I am in the host screen it is not showing up on the mods available on the right side of the screen?

If your into zombie survival games this is a MUST. Easily one of the best Ark mods I've tried. Brilliant effort. Can't wait for the next update.

@UwannaRAID - This will be an INI setting in v0.15.

@Grub - Once you get 100% zombie plague you die and the buff should come off. The zombie plague has been reworked in v0.15 though.

@CrusadingPriest - At some point, yes.

@Artyom Saveli - Ideally but no mappers have yet seriously approached the subject of creating a map specifically for this mod and mapping is outside our wheelhouse.

Is there a way to increase the Wild Zombie damage multiplier per ini ? They making only 8-10 damage per hit.

We put a nice server listed in the Server Advertisements if anyone wants to join. PvE for now and looking for ideas......Can't wait for the updates :)
