[Nagoya] THE CHUNICHI SHINBUN

Description
The Chunichi Shinbun is a daily newspaper published by the Japanese newspaper company Chunichi Shimbun in the Tokai region. New Aichi and Nagoya Shimbun merged during the wartime integration.

As a result, the two-owner system of the Oshima family and the Oyama family continues.

The Nagoya area boasts an overwhelming share, and as of September 2017, the number of independent copies of the Chunichi Shimbun was 2.35 million, the Tokyo Shimbun issued by the Chunichi Shimbun Tokyo headquarters and the Hokuriku Chunichi Newspaper issued by the Chunichi Shimbun Hokuriku headquarters. The total number of issued newspapers is approximately 3.20 million, and the number of papers issued is a national newspaper such as Mainichi Shimbun (about 2.94 million), Nikkei Shimbun (about 2.6 million), Sankei Shimbun (about 1.55 million). The number of copies is equivalent to the third largest in the country with reference records.

Centered on three Tokai prefectures, Shiga prefecture (Koto, Hubei), Nagano prefecture (Nanshin, Chushin), Shizuoka prefecture (west, Chubu), Fukui prefecture (some areas), Wakayama prefecture (Shingu city, Higashinada county) Department) is the sales area.

In the three prefectures of Tokai, the subscription rate is higher as the catchphrase of “Newspaper is Chunichi” permeates, which is much higher than the national newspaper. However, the Tokai headquarters uses “Chunch that you want to read” as a catch phrase.

The Tokyo Shimbun was published by the Chunichi Shimbun, and there was a large coverage base in Tokyo, and many correspondents were sent overseas with the Hokkaido Shimbun and Nishi Nihon Shimbun of the block paper alliance. It is also characterized by not relying solely on news from the news agency, even though it is not a national newspaper.

In addition, there are nearly 30 editorial staff members who write editorials, including the newspapers of the Tokyo newspaper, which is about the same as the national newspaper. Other media such as Tokyo Shimbun, Hokuriku Chunichi Shimbun, Nikkan Citizen Fukui, etc. Tokai, Hokuriku (Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui), Kanto and Kinki (almost all areas in Shiga) And a part of Wakayama Prefecture), which is called a block paper that covers multiple areas, though not as much as the national newspaper.

After the establishment of “Chubu Nihon Shimbun”, at that time, we had an editing agreement with Yomiuri Shimbun, which was targeted for sales in East Japan, mainly in Tokyo. Has experience in eliminating relationships.
