This version of the Caves world was built for anyone to use and make their own.

This Caves world is used in one of our many Protocol 51 scenarios that are currently still in development.

To Add this to your world follow these directions
1) Backup Both Saves
2) Add the two Mods found in this world save to your world.
3) Locate both saves in your directory example
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves\76561198030953024\CAVES (protocol 51) World Only by MisFit Studios
4) Copy all Drukulara-....vx2 planet files and paste it into your other
world save folder.
5) Copy from from P51 Caves save the following
" <MyObjectBuilder_EntityBase xsi:type="MyObjectBuilder_Planet">
<SubtypeName />
<PersistentFlags>CastShadows InScene</PersistentFlags>
To the end of </MyObjectBuilder_EntityBase>" --- note it was to long
to copy all the stuff into here
Do this for all 12 planets.
6) Delete your SANDBOX_0_00.sbsB5 file and load up your world.
This will spawn the caves around 0,0,0
7) If You want o Move the Caves you need to change the
location of all 12 planets relative to your move.
8) Please remember to give credit to if you plan to
use these caves, thank you.

@Rex the ODST - It will work right out of the box if you load it up -- you just won't have any other planets besides the caves, and it will only be the caves and that is all. This is why I included instructions on how to add it a world of your own so people can be flexible with how they want to play. I have had plans for a while to revisit this and release one that could be part of a simple scenario that included many other planets (earth, mars ...) but in that case it would have to come with some other mods included to make it make sense and look/work right. --- basically this was a proof of concept mod that I was hoping to grow on some day when work wasn't so busy! :) Hope you enjoy it!

So you have to go to the world files to get the caves to work? You can't just subscribe and play in game?

@thegrandseraph the race event is directly related to the survival server. Many of the features used in the race are actually test runs for the survival server.

The MisFit Studios Community is proud to bring all the fans of Space Engineers a new and exciting experience. The 20th annual Death Race in the Caves of Premortal begins this Saturday February 8th at 1pm CST.
Racers have already begun to sign up their teams at and fans will be ready to watch live on Twitch at where some of the best pilots and engineers around the world will put their skills to the ultimate test.

@Apothicon I tried multiple ways to make the Caves, and the final and only performance friendly way I found was to smash about 19+ 120km planets together with only 1 planet that had gravity. There are other ways to do it but this was the quickest, dirtiest and most simple way to create it.

When you made this planet did you use voxelmaps for the cave roof? If so, how did you make them not hollow like swiss cheese? I am trying to use voxelmaps for a custom enviromental item on a planet mod i'm making but every time I import the model via SEtoolbox to test it it is hollow and really messed up.

@thegrandseraph Keep an eye out for Keen Software House to announce an upcoming events which will be hosted by us MisFit Studios, if all goes as planned the events will culminate in the release of our Protocol 51 Multiplayer Server. These events will take place all of February and will introduce our fans to Protocol 51. Once again when it is announced by KSH, I will also announce it here.
