Description
Introduction
I’ve been working on this Star Wars : Outer Rim expansion for a year now. As a huge fan of the game, one stain that remained was the lack of content (which FFG doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to fill for once).
That’s why I decided to create this complete fan-made expansion that turned out to be a lot of work but also a lot of love.

What does it bring to the table?
  • 6 New crews / contacts (cards, tokens etc)
  • 7 New playable characters (Kyle Katarn / Dash Rendar / Sidon Ithano / Liana Korr / Darth Maul / Talon Karrde / Unkar Plutt)
  • 5 New ships (QuadJumper / Yt-2400 / Transport Action VI / Sith infiltrator / Corellian Star Shuttle CSS-1)
  • 3 New Planets (Yavin IV / Dathomir / Scarif) with their cards and tiles (cargo, jobs, encounters, Starting Jobs, bounty).
  • Two new types of encounters such as the “maelstrom” of the base game. One consists of an imperiale checkpoint (in which reputation is of huge importance), the other is an asteroid cluster!
  • Two brand new optional variants that consist in an event deck you must draw during a long trip and a bunch of new garrison tokens that simulate ground presence of the factions on their affiliated planets (giving more use to the reputation system).
  • At total: 123 new cards / 2 new additional tiles / 5 new ship dashboards / 6 new contact tokens, 7 new Standees but also the new “failure” and “Garrison” tokens

What do I need
Because now that I’ve done the initial rush of creating the templates, missions etc, the long journey of balancing begins. I need the feedbacks of people who played my expansion (not only read it, that’s important) to get a sufficient amount of data to make my tweaks. Don’t hesitate if you have ideas for new encounters, cargos, jobs etc.

How to use this expansion
  • Subscribe to the base game (link in the "Required mod" section)
  • Load the base game
  • Click on Games -> Workshop
  • Find "Star Wars: Outer Rim Hotshots (fan made expansion)"
  • Click on the button with the 3 dots and click on "Additive Load"
A bag with all the the content of this expansion should spawn on the table

unrelated question. Is there a way to get the rulebook, without the massive download of all the assets on the google drive location? I'm not finding one within TTS or anywhere in the forum thread that spells out how you use garrisons or the event deck.

The errors, which have disappeared now, were very vague. "Image error. Invalid URL"
That's why it was throwing me off. It wasn't telling me any asset info, but it had four of those messages right around the 18% point of loading. I eventually backed out after 10+ minutes, twice, and the third time it loaded, but still had those same errors report.
Whatever happened, it didn't appear to impact any of the assets I've found.

Hi @Werewolf, I've just tried to load the base mod and it loaded in under 30s so I'm not sure what your problem is. Do you have any error message popping up ?

I'm having a heck of a time getting the base game that this requires to load for the first time. It's been loading for 10 minutes now and hasn't gotten higher than 18%, mostly white space. Nothing recent on the comments for the base mod, so thought I'd ask if anyone else is having this issue. I haven't seen a TTS mod act like this before, so not sure what to think.

Hey every one! Mods has now been updated to last version released, thanks to sesran =) (v6a)

There had been a lot of impovements sinve v0.3, new optionnal rules, total rework of the card's graphics, new type of cards and token.

Is there a script that integrates the objects automatically or do I just have to arrange the assets on my own?

@Marshal check the "how to use" section, load the base game, click on games at the top then look for this mod and click the 3 dots in the corner then select additive load. That should spawn the content.
