Description
The SB-2 was the first widely deployed aircraft to come out of AAS's Small Bomber (SB) development program. Released in 2039, the SB-2 is an aircraft twice as capable as the HF-12 in a footprint only slightly larger than the F-120 Interceptor. Operated as a Short-Range Bomber and manned by a crew of 3, fielding multiple SB-2 strikes became more economical than a single B-X. This allowed the US to save resources, and reserve heavier aircraft for more necessary missions.

The SB-2 was an evolution of the original SB-1, made smaller with the requirement for additional troop transport capability dropped. The SB-1 would then go through a redesign, and be designated the TT-101. Common over the skies of US claimed territory, the sight of 10 or more flying in formation is a considerable show of force. Also fielded in lower numbers, US Allies also adopted the aircraft into their fleets.
