+++ Definitive edition +++

In the depths of the Black Mesa Research Facility Gordon is beset by hungry aliens, failing infrastructure and government soldiers determined to silence everyone involved with the project. The situation's grim and he's not the only one in trouble.....

Stalwart XT is a two map collaboration between myself (JamaicanDave) and Dolmo. It is based on a small Black Mesa map called Stalwart I released on RTSL in 2016 as an unofficial entry to the Hardville mapping challenge. The original Stalwart map has been reworked and new areas added extending both the beginning and end.

To play the map:

Run Black Mesa.
From Main Menu select Steam Workshop - Installed - StalwartXT - Start game
Press tilde (~) to bring up the console.
Type 'map bm_stalwartXT' into the console and press Enter.

If the console does not appear:
Go to Options -> Keyboard -> Advanced and tick the "Enable Developer Console" option.

Ah I guess that would be jumping the pipe support section. I admit it's not terribly well signed posted.

Yes, during big fights I tend to wait for enemies to appear. I think people want more challenge, more tension, in any case I prefer: P

I must say, albeit short, this one is great - something you should be proud of. Perfectly captures the adventurous essence of the game with a nice balance between action, exploration and puzzle-solving. Weapon / enemy progression is smoothed out with just enough to progress, with side areas on offer that reward the keen-eyed player. The interconnected map design and overall attention to detail is to be complemented too. Keep up the good work - hope you two update this one after 1.0 and iron out those audio-visual glitches. Will gladly replay it if you do so.
