This mod adds 3 new starts to Kenshi. They will randomize most variables for the start of the game with different parameters depending on which you pick.

The first option is completely random stats, from -100 to 100, each individual stat can fall anywhere between those 2 numbers. I find the negative stats can really add to Kenshis' already humorously punishing experience. You can end up with with a character that causes damage when he tries to apply first aid for example, which is fun.

The 2nd start is basically the same as the first, but the stats are between 0 and 100. So no roleplaying an inept surgeon. I made this one by request, as understandably some people don't enjoy getting too screwed over by RNG.

The third option picks random predefined templates, rather than randomizing individual attributes. The templates are the same ones the game uses to generate NPCs, with a bunch of extra ones I made. You also have a small chance to get the first two options applied to a character as a class. This ones probably the most balanced, as your literally just getting existing NPCs as playable characters. Though of course you could potentially end up with a squad of faction leaders if your super lucky.

All Randomized Features:

Weapon
crossbow
armor
location
Bounty
amount of player characters
stats
backpack
player bounties
limbs
names
Races (you can still manually change them during character creation along with names).
Slave state (not slave, escaped, ex slave etc..).

Most variables have a chance of nothing, eg. no bag, no weapon etc..

The random class start may randomize cash and some inventory items that aren't listed and don't always start with basic first aid or food.

Yeh can really change up your early game. Had an opposite one where i started with a bunch of op guys and ended up wiping out a holy mine.

Haha! This is funny.
Started the -100 to 100 random start. 18 of us. From humans, some of which had robotic arms legs to skeletons to Shek.
Slap bang in the middle of the Holy Mines.
After we got jumped, 3 died and 15 survived. All KO'ed. :steamsad: :steamhappy:

Could you add a start where you start with only 1 character with everything randomized -100 to 100 (including bounties, limbs and everything)?

Ok i fixed the crash and tweaked some numbers. You now get much more reasonable characters, a chance of being an escaped slave and much lower chance of prosthetic limbs.

Ive found a way to randomize money, race, inventory items and such, but it will take me a while to implement it.

Once that is done i plan to add additonal starts granting options as damnedferret requested.

@DamnedFerret unfortunetly that is impossible with the tools available.
The workaround is to release different versions of the mod, with different things randomized or include different starts.

I might do that once i confirm there are no major issues.

@war Medic im gonna do some testing today, but i don't know why it would crash, it doesn't affect any existing files.

sounds nice! is there any way you could implement a feature wich enables the player to adjust the randomization before starting a game? like, choosing to not randomize the stats or starting always poor, whatever? :)
