Description
This mod modifies many features of the deployable defenses (numbers, hitpoints etc.)
and gives the barricades the appearance of the palisades of the fort (only the appearance).
You can destroy these barricades like all the classic deployable barricades with swords.



6x BARRICADES:
-changed the skin with the palisade of the fort,
-more health (hp800-> hp8000),
-each barricade max 30 parts long,
-each barricade placed on a single line.

2x BRIMSTONES:
more hitpoints (hp1000->hp3000), brimstones burn for more long time,
each one 20 parts.

6x SPIKE TRAP:
each one 20 parts.

6x STAKES:
-each stake of max 30 parts,
-disposition on only 1 line.

6x SHARP STONES:
-each sharp stone composed of 50 parts,
-more random arrangement.

4x CALTROP:
each one 20 parts.

4x FIREBALL:
each one 10 parts.

I tried this mod on DEI and it works, so I think it's compatible.



This mod isn't compatible with other similar mods on deployable defenses.



Partly based on Kamil Vark Khaitan's Siege Defense .

Hi! Nice mod! I used to use it. Great thanks. I suggest to make a step like in Attila's barricades for defenders. Also defences are aimed firstly against cavalry. Infantry is forgotten. Such good defences as moat and shaft are forgotten. And there could be a good opportunity to place fire balls on walls. I know these questions must be addressed to CA, I only shared with you my fantasies, IMHO.

@Medayas Do you intend to increase the deployment area for those who defend Attila type?
I would have liked it too, but I don't know in the least where to look and what to change for that.
Also increase the deployment zone for the attacker (only for deployables), in order to position the palisades to create covers for the infantry approaching the walls.

@IIISPOOKYIII is it possible to make the defences deployable outside the forts/settlements/zones of deployments ? Great mod btw.

@RebelBuffoon that's just smart AI, nothing more.
If the AI knows it stands the better chance of victory by NOT charging in, they will hold position and wait for you to engage. This applies to All Difficulty Normal and above.

Idk about easy. never really played on easy. :')

Nice, this is extremely underrated in terms of both the work you put in and the possibilities with warfare. Maybe you can brush up on it further and add more stuff in the future? Kudos bro, amazing efforts.

please consider making a version that does not grant the additional defences when fighting any defensive battle (just the stat changes). (I disabled it because with it EVERY battle is a mess as ai deploys all of the defences in a line, or I am left with more tools than I need)

I Do enjoy this mod very much it makes playing many defensive battles winnable esp vs armies that use ranged troops as the bulk of their force. However I am a little bummed, like Rebel here that you don't get anything from this mod during siege defense battles in coastal towns. Was wondering if this was also Intended or If it something in the Future you might consider altering. either way My thanks for sharing this Great mod as is. +1

Oh, also. Alot of times the Enemy will stand infront of the Baricade and do nothing. Just a minute ago, I had to concede because the enemy refused to go through the Openings it made in the Barricades. Before that the same thing had happened 2 times.

Soo, I found something out. its a brilliant mod that lets 5 units beat 20, although outclassed and not only out Numbered.

HOWEVER
you DO NOT get any of the Barricades or such things if the Enemy initiates the Assault from the Sea. I do not know if this was intentional or now, but it is, in my opinion, something that makes the mod a bit less useful.

its still an amazing mod, Just hope you can add in that I can use the Traps, etc. when the enemy initiates the assault from the water. Since it only makes sense. as you can see an army comin from water far before one from land. And by water they are slower.
