By popular request I made a Steal the Car mission for the new Altis terrain. This mission has been built from the ground up with some of the new stuff I've learned. Not a simple copy and paste!

As before, player start location is random on several locations. The car can spawn in several locations. The enemies will take different patrol routes as well. This time around there are even three end-states for the mission: 1 win-state and two fail-states. Oh, and voice acting from OFP again :)

This mission should be a bit less high intensity than the one on Stratis. That said, I am looking for feedback: not enough enemies, too many enemies, car locations, player start locations etc.!

Challengin but fun mission! Two comments though: needs a virtual arsenal because the starting equipment is awful, and if this an infiltration mission maybe it would be better if it was at night?

thumbs up. simple but tough mission. I just did it! only killing one soldier.
To anyone agonizying with it, I had the stupidest insight this morning: use the quad! drop it first thing in the mission, acess it, fly it to at least some 180m high, turn on auto hover, acess turret, look around for the Ifrit (armored csat car), then press N twice, and recon the area with the thermal camera!
I saw that the car spawned next to the hospital, and I had spawned to the houses north. I went through the corners and backyards quiet as a mouse. Killed only one guard by the car, jumped right in and off I went to the mountains.
But I do have one consideration: the AI seems a bit too sharp.

I didn't know what to do between, engaging all AI or sneeking around, but when you closing-in the car, you have to go full auto, because so many AI around. Also a silencer might be good idea, not to alerte the whole city from the first shot :) Nice Mission thanks

There is a fourth and I believe even a fifth that are unspecified. The briefing states that they *might* be in one of those three locations, but it's not guaranteed. The other locations are not very far from the centre of town though, so it should be around somewhere.
If not, restart the mission and hope for a new location (which might also start you off at a new starting location, one of three possible)

Great mission, but I failed to find the car :( It wasn't at any of the 3 locations.

I agree with overpricedgorilla. Roadblocks especially. But even then this was one of the more intense missions I've played and beating it for the first time felt great.
