Release date: Late 2013
CHROMATOSE is a top down puzzle adventure. The crux of the challenge in Chromatose lies in the controls. It uses the old and beloved controls from the arcade game Asteroids: left and right to turn, up to accelerate, and it keeps all of your momentum (until you hit a wall or reach terminal velocity).

You’re in the world of Color. The world is being corrupted by a dark Tint, darkening the vibrant colour of the land. Where did this Tint come from? This must you discover, as Light: the collective subconscious of the world of Color and its people.

So, what is Chromatose? This game aims to expand on the gameplay ideas found in physics-based 0 gravity environments like Asteroids and Super Melee (from Star Control). This is something that is very rarely done, and has never been done in a quirky adventure game like Chromatose, as far as we know.

  • Master the retro arcade Asteroids controls
  • Absorb colour (or steal it)
  • Teleport!
  • Navigate in visually appealing levels
  • Discover what happened to the world of colour
  • Face your Nemesis, Darkness
  • Test your skills in physics-based 0 gravity environments
  • Beautiful original soundtrack by Amélie Bouita

Your nemesis Darkness has begun to corrupt your land and its inhabitants, creating disorder and disharmony. Many inhabitants have been lost, absorbed by the Tint, transformed into grotesque, dark, evil blobs. The world has become... Chromatose.

It’s up to the Avatar (Light) to fix the world. As the combined essence of all colors, only you have the power to save the Color world!

I love games with an original design. If the puzzle and gameplay aspect has some elements as good as your creative style, this is gonna be a title to buy for me

I'm not going to pay money for something that is far worse than free games. At least surpass Newgrounds material before you start asking for money. Seriously.
