A new Class 03 is being prepared for Transport Fever 2
Thank you for your support since January 2018

The classic Rail Blue livery of British Rail from the 1960s typified the heyday of diesel traction across the UK’s railway network, as depicted in this diesel locomotive.
The BR Class 03 was one of the most successful small shunters that British Rail ever produced, built between 1957 and 1961. With a very short 0-6-0 wheelbase, the Class 03 had a top speed of 28.5mph (46km/h) and found itself working at places like Ipswich Docks where heavier Class 08s were unable to operate, and as station pilots across the UK network. Today, a total of 56 in the Class have survived into preservation, with one remaining in active service until 2008 for Govia Thameslink Railway as a yard shunter.

This Transport Fever Mod includes:
BR Class 03 in BR Corporate Blue livery
Reversible Shunter's Truck

Repaints are subject to Dx1998's approval, currently the liveries missing from this mod are:
Network Southeast
BR Green

Top speed - 45.9 km/h
Weight - 30.7 tons
Power - 152 Kw
Tractive Effort - 69.6 kN

does that mean its reversible, instead of using a invisible reverse wagon?

I admit the same effect could be achieved by using 2 shunters, but that means your paying for 2 engines, this way is more economical as its cheaper to use a reversable wagon
Dx1998  [author] Apr 30 @ 9:11am
Its scrap, the wagon serves to allow the shunting of wagons, as wagons arent normally allowed to reverse, the shunter is attached at one end, the shunters wagon attached at the other, creating a kind of push-pull train that allows the shunter to reverse and go forwards, instead of flipping

It's nice to see that you're slowly learning from doing these models from the bottom up this time, and I like the addition of the shunting truck. Can't wait to see what you do next :cozyspaceengineersc:
