Welcome to my first hammer map!
First of all, I want to thank the TWP community for helping me (directly and indirectly)

There you will find a lot of mapping content if you feel interested.

The test is actually very simple, it will take some 5 minutes from you. As well you may find some concept: a broken test element, vital for you to going UP.

Have fun, enjoy, and please tell me if you find something wrong, unintended solutions, or if you have additional ideas, they'd be very welcome!

For future concerns:

Q: I can't solve this map!
A: Have you ever finished any Portal game?

Q: Why do your map looks different from the maps made in the in-game editor?
A: Because I've used the Portal 2 Authoring Tools Beta to create it.


> UPDATE 29/08/13: The error signs are gone! Sorry about that, it won't be there any more. Changed the cube skin type, thanks to Le Reff!
> UPDATE 01/09/13 and 05/09/13: Major changes on the layout of the chamber, now looking more destroyed than ever! Also changed the dead-panel model, to give a better look. Added a test chamber sign, just have to figure how to make it look dirty, suggestions or tutorials are welcome.
> UPDATE 24/09/13: The problem with the elevator wasn't fixed at all, so I've added an auto-save, so when the player dies, it won't need to go back to the elevator AND now the loading screen matches the chamber!
> UPDATE 05/10/13: A problem where the player walked through the panel arm is now fixed.
> UPDATE 06/10/13: Cracks in the exit door are now fixed, thanks presto668 for pointing them. Added music to the test and made some lightning corrections. Enjoy!
> UPDATE 04/11/13: Changed some textures, for a better look, also added fog. Changed something on the announcer, I have a surprise for you! Made the test chamber sign dirty and with the correct elements showing up (actually, the workshop overrided it with a clean sign).
> UPDATE 10/11/13: The test sign is now looking correct, workshop won't override it.

@vioray Thank you! I guess it's your imagination, the loading screen is the sp_a1 default one :p2cube:

very nice job. the puzzle's simple but the scenery is great. also nice use of disguising the tilted portal surface for the jump as damaged wall . is it just my imagination or does your map even have a different and more colourful Apperture loading screen?

@presto668 Yeah! I also saw a crack over the exit door inside the chamber after I just posted the update (it was awful) the entire exit door and that corridor is an instance (even the wall that "fits" the doorway) I see I'll have to change that... Thanks!!

I just played it again and the white squares weren't there. Might have been a glitch on my end. :) I did notice one other thing though. At the top of the stairs going down to the exit elevtor, if you turn around and face the doorway, you can see through a crack under the floor.

@presto668 the panel arm and the panel itself are now fixed, thanks! About the white tiles, can you show me where are they happening? I haven't heard about this problem in this map until you tell me.

Had some pure-white tiles in the first area. Also I can walk right through the broken panel arm below the exit ledge.

@Kiki about the elevator: I know, that wasn't fixed, I tought it was but it looks like the elevator chooses when it works or not, really anoying. I'll try to fix this and the error signs as soon as possible, thanks!

I'm having this problem too, but sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't, I'll try to figure out why is this happening, thanks!

Wow, great map for a first hammer map! :D
I just had a little ( big ) problem: When the map spawn automaticly ( for exemple when I die ), the elevator won't go down!! I have to reload the map manualy!
