Description
NOTE: I am discontinuing support for this mod, upon realization that Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade[www.nexusmods.com] does most of what I intended this mod to do, and more, and better. I may at some point rework what I have done here into additions to that mod, but if/when that happens it will be a simple addon to CCOR, not a standalone mod. If this mod interested you, I highly recommend getting CCOR. Thank you.

NOTE: This is NOT COMPATIBLE with my Smithable Circlets mod! Please use one or the other!

''What the hell is Onyx?''
''What is Jade, and why can't I mine it anywhere?''
''Why is Moonstone suddenly a smooth blue gemstone rather than a light gold metal?''
''Why can't I craft my own circlets?''

Circlets in Skyrim don't seem to line up with other jewelry and craftable items in Skyrim. This mod aims to fix that. The vanilla game has ten types of circlet, and this mod holds to that, but what those circlets are and what they are made of has been altered to mesh with the crafting and jewelry system in the rest of the game.

Jeweled Circlets can be crafted from three types of material: Corundum (Copper), Silver, and Gold. Each Jeweled Circlet takes two ingots, one regular gem, and one Flawless gem, of its respective type. The available circlets are as follows:

Copper and Amethyst
Copper and Ruby
Copper and Sapphire
Silver and Ruby
Silver and Sapphire
Silver and Emerald
Gold and Ruby
Gold and Sapphire
Gold and Emerald
Gold and Diamond

In addition to these Jeweled Circlets, I have added ten Armored Circlets*, following the same pattern. To craft these versions, you will need Dwarven Metal (Copper), Quicksilver (Silver), or Moonstone (Gold). The Armored versions also do not require Flawless gems, but use two regular gems of their respective types. Silver Armored Circlets are Light Armor and do not require any Perks to craft. Copper Armored Circlets are Heavy Armor and require Dwarven Smithing to craft. Gold Armored Circlets are Light Armor and require Elven Smithing to craft. Note: Armored Circlets cannot be improved at the Workbench.

I highly recommend Reedy1990's Flawless Gem Crafting mod for easier acquiring of Flawless Gems.

This mod is still in Beta, so please let me know if anything isn't working. Right now, the leveled loot lists have not been changed at all, so the ten circlets will show up when and where the old version that shared its respective Form ID would appear. Considering that I have changed their base values to reflect their new crafting material costs, this is most likely rather unbalanced. I plan to fix that once I learn how to do so.

Planned features:

Edit leveled loot lists so circlets appear at reasonable times and places

(Maybe) Add a quest for learning how to craft Armored Circlets

A patch to make this mod work properly with UberSmaug's Family Jewels mod.

A patch to make this mod work properly with kevinjk's Smithing Treebalance mod.

Bummer that you canceled this mod. BC CCOR requires SKSE and I dont' want it. A lot of mods now require SKSE for the MCM menus, but I prefer to use skyirm without it. Well, I guess I will have to do the owrk myself and upload it for those ppl like me...

Hate to be a downer, but your 'Armored' Circlets are not Armored. Not sure what the problem is. See if you can fix that?
Cool mod otherwise.

Thank you. Finally I don't have to grumble everytime I see jade or onyx circlets and get pretty diamond ones. However, do the armored circlets not confer an armor rating? I'm not getting any and my sky ui is recognizing them as just clothing not armor? Hope you work on the mod some more one of my new favs.

This mod is awesome with infinite possibilities, of which, could overhaul the jewelcraft system even more within Skyrim. Think about......Chocolate diamonds! Thank you so much :)

Where IS the onyx one? It's one of my favorites.... and I don't suppose there's the possibility of using an ebony crown with ruby gems hmm? that would be soooo awesome..... or gold with onyx and ruby....

Possible, yes, but much more difficult. The game is set up to recognize ten unique circlet types; changing it to add more is an extra level of difficulty than just changing the existing ten into different ones. It's something I may add later, but there are other things higher on my priority list.

Gold Amethyst would be fantastic.

Is it possible to add a silver amethyst circlet?

*I* know what it is. But it doesn't show up in Skyrim literally anywhere else, so how would Dovahkiin know what it is?

''What the hell is Onyx?''
You don't know what Onyx is, really?
Wat?
