Description
This mod is a derivative work based on the original party from The Bard's Tale: Tales of the Unknown. It features six powerful followers who will level with the player from level 3 all the way to level 81:

Brian the Fist: Unarmed Specialist

El Cid: Bard Class as You Haven't Seen It in Quite Some Time

Markus: Dagger-Wielding Thief

Merlin: Destruction Elemental Magician

Omar: Conjuror and Healer

Samson: Two-Handed Warrior

Pick whichever follower compliments your playstyle the most, or use a multiple follower mod like AFT (see below) to ramp up the carnage! Either way, this mod has something for just about every player.

==DETAILS==

All of the followers can be found in Windhelm in the New Gnisis Corner Club. Some are on the second floor. All of these followers have inventories comprised of lists of leveled items. That means the longer you wait to team up with them, the better their gear will be. Note that these followers are essential, so while they can take damage and be knocked down, they will never truly be killed. This may change with future revisions, especially if I can figure out an old-school Resurrection at one or more of the existing Temples.

Glad you're enjoying it. It's a nice nostalgic mod.

Muchas gracias!
(Thanks is too mainstream)

Nope. It just makes every NPC do more damage and you do less. So if you're playing on Legendary, the stronger followers here will seem quite OP compared to you. That's because they're basically even with or better than the NPCs.

Also, if you're level 50 or higher and not using difficulty-adding mods, the NPCs around you stop leveling there. That means level 81 followers will TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE on anything they fight.

Be warned.

Thanks! I'll try it out, does changing difficulty give more xp, by any chance?
Darth Gustav  [author] Aug 8, 2013 @ 9:50pm
That's a fair question. They may be, depending on which other mods your're running and what difficulty your game is set to. Some of them are more powerful than others. For example, Brian the Fist isn't equipped with a melee weapon. This is done on-purpose. Another example is Omar. He's not particularly powerful, using only a few Conjuration and Restoration spells. El Cid is probably OP, but very in-keeping with the inspiration for him.

I suggest keeping trying it out, if you're interested.

You can always roll back if you backup your game.

Ok, and regarding the mod. Last time I downloaded a follower mod, the follower was WAY too OP. Are these the same way?

You got it. I am one happy author now!

Glad you like the mod. Regarding the "Butan" thing, it's an internet meme.

I guess it wasn't as popular as I thought, though.

I Googled it and came up with less consistent references than expected.
