  • This mod is clean and stackable. It has no list priority whatsoever
  • No game content is remapped or altered. I only add 5 of my own items to the game
  • This mod should also work with modded dinos, as well as vanilla
  • This mod is compatible to future releases of ARK (dynamic data retrieval)
  • If ARK is updated with new color IDs, the soul description will reflect them
  • If ARK is updated with new dinos, the souls can trap them

⠀⠀⠀This is a small mod designed to store dinos as items, similar to a pokeball! By removing tamed dinos from the world, it allows you to maintain a large library of stored dinos without hurting server performance! No more lagtastic dino barns or yards! Dino Storage obeys tribe and server tame limits on release, while allowing a large library of stored dinos that do not count against your tame limit. The mod is fully customizable via INI, making it easy to balance for PvP or PvE use!

⠀⠀⠀This comparison serves the purpose of reducing "just use a cryopod" comments.

⠀⠀⠀You must release ALL dinos from the soul traps before you remove the mod. They will be deleted at server start once the mod is gone. The Recovery.sav file will retain dinos without the mod, allowing you to reinstall the mod and attempt soul recovery using Admin mode. The recovery file does not get auto-removed with mod uninstall, and must be manually deleted.

⠀⠀⠀I primarily give support through Discord because I get notified when you @Lethal or directly message me. This lets me respond quicker, and allows my community to provide feedback in a more efficient manner. Steam does not notify me in a similar fashion, so I deprioritize it. I do not mind Discord pings—I actually encourage it—because I'm here to ensure you can enjoy using my mod.

When dinos mate, a mating progress bar fills. When mating progress is 100%, either it will lay an egg or begin a gestation progress bar. When the gestation progress bar hits 100% a baby is born. That abort button will cancel this gestation progress bar and no baby will be made. It’s a “hey I don’t really want a baby from this male” for boosted mating speed servers.

Forgive me i'm a bit slow with these things, does that mean that it stops the breeding? Or just kind of sucks up the babies and lets the pair breed continiously?

Removes gestation progress without causing the dino to be on mating cooldown.

Automation will work on a raft. Newborn Auto Trap will not show as an option when placed on a mobile platform, like a raft or saddle platform, in dedicated server networks. The reason that NAT doesn't appear is so you can't ram a quetzal base into the corner of an enemy base to clip into it, and try to steal babies since babies have no associated team.

@lethal Found out the automation/newborn trap doesn't work on a raft.
Instead it opens up a page that show what toggles are set on the server.

@Lethal No need for the INI, My server is aware and they're pretty good at not being cheaty, thanks though, just wanted to make you all were aware. Im not sure its this mod thats causing it, but if you would like a list of mods I have on my server to help identify if it is or not you can dm me.

That is interesting. While this is under investigation, I do have a "blacklist item from being stored" ini. You can therefore block that specific saddle, and that saddle only, from being stored through the trapping process. Thus, removing the exploit while not effecting it's behavior with other dinos or other saddles. I can write this ini for you, but I need the long spawn code for the saddle in question.
