LNER A2 'Skittle Alley'

In 1922, for the North Eastern Railway, Vincent Raven designed one of the first Pacific locos. This 4-6-2 was an enlargement of his near identical 4-4-2 Atlantics, simply with an added driving wheel and a very long boiler.

The long parallel boiler is where these engines gained their nickname 'Skittle-Alley', like a bowling alley.

These engines weren't a huge success, while powerful they were not free runners and proved to have steaming issued with their long boiler. They lived a long life on secondary services under the LNER and were all scrapped later on. They tried to be saved with the addition of a Gresley boiler, however the faults of the loco ran far deeper.

Now you too can harness the power of one of the first pacific locomotives even if it did fail.

Avaliable: 1922
Speed: 62mph
Power: 1,978hp
T/E: 28,101lb/f

Changed the texture of the loco as I was not a fan of my first attempt with the LNER lettering.
I also included as a separate model a version with the LNER lettering just in-case people liked it.
