Description
Tired of having to make huge hydroponics rooms? Sick of massive indoor farms? Throw a Plant Growing Wall Light on your wall and enjoy a more compact setup, without wasting all the power a Sun Lamp would use.

By default, the brightly lit radius where plants grow is set to 5, and the power use is 600. However the radius, power use, and steel cost is configurable through the mod settings menu. You can also disable the automatic resting period.

NOTE: The valid range for the brightly lit radius is 2 to 10. This isn't some arbitrary number, I couldn't make the displayed light radius match up to the actual brightly lit zone past 10. But considering that the vanilla Sun Lamp radius is 8, I can't see anyone having a problem with this.

But why?

Maybe nerf the lamp by giving a debuff to colonists? Or Not affecting colonists, only plants

since I'm so concerned with realism, I guess i'll uninstall 75% of the mods I already have I guess. I'm just sayin it could be an additional option in the mod settings. I'd rather have a nerf to the radius of the light and still have the corners, than have a ton of overlapping lights or weird corners I have to fiddle with.

....except that light doesn't work like that.....

Maybe add an option to add the corners to the light radius? I'd honestly rather have fewer rows of light coverage than have the annoying corner's being completely unlit. It's a pet peeve of mine that drives me crazy with the vanilla lamps too, but at least those are more of a circular thing. I don't see much reason to not include 2 tiles to a front facing lamp.

Guys there are questions about color variants. This is clash course on pland physiology.
Plants do not need white light(all colors combined) but only part of spectrum, red and blue especially. Comibnation of those colors is PURPLE/purpbish pink.
Reason why plants are green is that they do not use green part of spectrum so it reflect away from the plants, thus you see green color.

So in sike of realism we have these beautiful purple lights.

@MANIA-VENOM
It's based on ultraviolet grow-lights, so I'm gonna guess "no".

can we have more color options for the light besides just purplish pink?

@Murmur Would it be possible to make a wall-mounted version of the fire popper? Both of your wall mounted mods are great and I use them every playthrough, a wall-mounted popper would make a great tri-fecta
