Description

AS SEEN IN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yx4osljrMkA
This mod contains several COXHOUND themed factions, completing our selection of mods that include COXHOUND Content Pack and COXHOUND Bonus Content.
Colloquially known as the Arma 3 Furry Mod despite not adding the actual furry gear.

The factions in this mod range from generic special forces, to soldiers wearing fursuit helmets, and that's not even the extent of how far we'll go with this. Nobody can stop us. Not even ourselves. Unfortunately.

Additonally, this mod includes supplemental content such as inventory items, vehicles, and extended functionality for some units. More on that later. 2.

Currently, in numbers, this mod adds:
  • 17 new factions
  • 800+ Zeus and Editor placeable units and vehicles
  • 100+ new groups
  • 11 reskinned vehicles
  • Dozens of new headgear and equipment types
  • 20+ new inventory items
  • 3 new grenade types

The factions in this mod don't really follow a general theme, and they fit the purpose of adding more crazy things to shoot at. They're perfect if you're looking for fictional units that're not entirely based on any real world armies. Factions currently included are:
  • Mafufda's Legion - A faction composed mainly of African guerrillas, who fight for the people of Altis
  • Keemstar's Mercenaries - Mercenaries hired by the infamous YouTuber Keemstar, because he's paranoid
  • Fursuiters - This faction (obviously) contains radicalized furry dudes that're organized into a trained, specialized force for some reason
  • M'abumbe's Foreign Legion - A multinational anti-terrorism group, it's the nemesis group of Mafufda's Legion. Features a mixed bag of Western weapons and vehicles
  • Strangers and Freaks - This multi-side faction consists of various minor units, such as Half-Life scientists, arms dealers with a rearm-compatible Stryker, and also anarchists
  • Vacomi Security Contractors - A Japanese PMC that is backed by a huge arms corporation
  • Cult of Bophades - A slavic doomsday cult that worships a dead god
  • Zone Bandits - Cheeki breeki!! Units based on STALKER bandits (featuring the same randomized names from the game)
  • Color Teams - Multi-sided color coded units, in varying roles, for use in team-based scenarios, available in several colors that you can pit against each other
  • COXHOUND Special Operations Group - A full COXHOUND faction, with units featuring our camouflage uniforms, plus some vehicles, altogether a mix of the US Army and US Marines
  • COX Division - COXHOUND but boomers. Based on 90s era Delta Force
  • XOC Strategic Operations Group - Shadowy parallel unit to COXHOUND, they're ultra serious special dudes, based on various Special Forces groups from around the world
  • XOC (1999) - Predecessor to "modern" day XOC, these guys are modeled after 90's SWAT and DEA agents
  • Hazardous Environment Combat Unit - Just like the Half-Life HECU, they're based on the US Marines
  • Malden Islands Liberation Front - A rebel group based in Malden. Based on the IRA
  • Akula Group - A Russian PMC modeled after the IRL Wagner Group
  • Dongfang Mafia - A Chinese mafia that does really criminal deeds (obviously)

Since the backgrounds for these factions can be borderline incomprehensible or insanely stupid, we've added cool Field Manual entries that're nice to read when there's a long helicopter ride, or your Zeus GM is taking too long making your mission.
14.

We've also added a lot of cool inventory items, perfect for mission objectives or loadout fluff.

They can be placed in the editor, added to crates via their attributes menu, and they can be added to inventories via scripting commands.

Additional features to this mod would include:
  • Drug production props, including weed plants and cocaine packages
  • Deployable Virtual Arsenal crate
  • A sport tuned Lada that drifts like mad
  • An M40 Gas Mask, with different variants
  • Throwable pipe bombs
  • Cosmetic shoulderpad models, in 80+ variants of different colors and patches
  • Civilians with randomized clothes and appearances, also in groups
  • Loadout randomization for a lot of units, namely the Fursuiters and Mafufda's Legion
  • Custom loadouts for literally every unit, made utilizing the Arsenal
  • A modified 2S6 Tunguska, made to fire SPG9 rockets, based on Patlabor 2
  • New skins for some vehicles such as black M113s and a cursed furry BRDM-2
  • Zeus support for every unit and vehicle
  • Custom identity name sets for soldiers
  • Different camo variants for some units
  • Custom death sounds for some units
  • Files are signed for servers, and a .bikey file is included

Since this is essentially the pinnacle of COXHOUND modding, we've got a bunch of plans for new units, factions, vehicles and more. Some examples would include:
  • HECU radio protocol with lines from Half-Life (eventually)
  • A faction based on several new-age cults
  • Heavy versions of the shoulderpads
  • More drug model variants (namely weed and cocaine baggies)

We've done our best to eliminate every possible bug, but the scope of this mod code-wise and effort-wise, and the time in between additions, may result in some super specific bugs we're not aware of. Please report any bugs you come across, and we'll fix them as soon as we can!

Nonetheless, we're very glad to release this mod, and we've got many more features and factions that'll be added in future updates, so Stay Chuned

sucks that modding will be going away in a few years once cloud gaming becomes the norm.

@jomimi, didn't know you were here. I agree with that, but what would the subfactions be?

If you take recommendations, could you add a brony faction? (Factions would be BLUFOR/OPFOR/INDFOR like the FIA faction)
