Historical Cities and Landmarks

Description
Compatibility:
Compatible with everything. This mod is already integrated into Shieldwall Overhaul, there's no reason you would want both enabled.

Description:
I have really fallen in love with this period of English history over the course of this last year and wanted to share that with other people who are similarly fascinated by the Age of Vikings. I also find that I can roleplay easier in Total War games when I have some knowledge about the places in the game. This mod will dole out historical information about the major settlements when you click on them. I also wanted to let the player better appreciate how much work CA put into designing a beautiful map with the local lore in mind, so if you capture a settlement that is next to a visible landmark on the map, you will get a popup describing that landmark.

Credits:
Huge shoutout to Drunk Flamingo for helping me pull this mod over the finish line. I'm not that great with LUA scripting so his help was absolutely crucial in this endeavor.

Also big thanks to nik000, the amazing artist, who helped me design the main mod art.

Recommend:
I've been spending all of my modding time lately with kinjo and Drunk Flamingo on the Shieldwall mod, which I will highly recommend as a total gameplay overhaul:

Oops, I accidentally deleted the last comment asking for help. That was unintentional.

The way the mods works is that it will give you an advice pop-up when you click on the main settlement of a region. Landmark events will only pop-up when you capture the region in which the landmarks reside... sort of like you captured a place and you've started exploring it. Hope this helps!

Hello, the idea of the mod seems good to me for those who do not know how to locate all the wonders that they put on the map like me, I will make a translation submod for Spanish so that it can reach more people.

There are two tabs at the bottom: one for the city info and one for the landmarks. In the landmarks I tried to make it very clear in which settlements you would find those landmarks.

The spreadsheet would be hugely appreciated, thank you very much! And the complement is much appreciated as well! :D

I certainly appreciate the efforts of a DM to make the world come alive a bit more.

I don't have my old notes anymore but it will be easy enough to pull things out of the xml file... let me throw an excel sheet together for you and then I'll post a link later today. Cool?
