Pivvot is officially out on Steam!
Pivvot Windows/Mac is almost done!
Release date: Spring 2014
In Pivvot, an artfully minimalistic yet captivating game, survival is everything. Pivvot requires players to tap into their adrenaline-rushing ability to make quick, impulsive decisions, coupled with both logic and skill—making Pivvot the ultimate challenge. In this fast-paced game, players will navigate down the winding path for survival as increasingly difficult obstacles get in their way.

Staying true to the beautiful, clean design of the game, Pivvot can be controlled with only two buttons. By pressing the right and left buttons, players will control a ball that is latched onto the path by a pivot point. By pressing the right button to rotate clockwise or the left for counter-clockwise, the player is able to rotate the ball a full 360 degrees.

Although this may seem simple, the winding path can make the rotation confusing to navigate, adding to the excitement of the game. The rotation will be utilized to move the ball around the path to avoid obstacles that will disrupt the player’s journey. Avoiding the obstacles takes skill and practice—it is essential to delve into intuitive strategy and logic to figure out how to outsmart them. But players will need to think on their feet, as Pivvot waits for no one. Additionally, players will be able to track their progress in the game with checkpoints, which allow them to see how far they have gotten and celebrate their victories.

Adding depth to Pivvot is the distinctive art and music style that encapsulates the spirit of game designer Whitaker Trebella. Drawing on Trebella’s musical background, Pivvot features four original songs with thriving beats and energetic tunes. Throughout the entire game, the shapes, path, and rotating ball pulsate to the beat of the music, making it even more enthralling and engaging.

But Trebella didn’t just stop there; he wanted to ensure that the game had a consistent, minimalistic, artistic feel throughout. He achieved this by creating a simplistic user interface, a subtle background to ensure that players could easily focus on the game itself, bright colors that accentuate what the player should be focusing on, and most importantly, assigning a unique color to each of the thirty objects throughout the game. This serves not only to enhance the art style of the game but also as a symbol to players who will eventually come to recognize and prepare for each object based on its individual color.

  • Voyage: Travel through increasingly challenging levels of obstacles
  • Endless: Survive as long as possible while the game gets progressively faster
  • Expert Voyage: Uncover new, more challenging obstacles
  • Expert Endless: Avoid the expert obstacles as the increasing speed tests your limits
  • Berserk: The ultimate challenge: chaotic, frenzied, and unrelenting
  • Random Endless: Endless mode... but random!
  • Random Expert Endless: Expert Endless mode... but random!

  • Increasingly challenging gameplay with thirty different obstacles to conquer
  • Five unlockable game modes
  • Procedurally generated path: every game is different!
  • Four custom-composed, high energy songs
  • Simplistic, minimalistic art style and gameplay
  • Mouse, Keyboard, Xbox Controller, and PS3 Controller support
