Description
Description:
A cosmetic-only mod.
Darkens nights, dusks, eclipses and some weather to make the game more naturally and realistically looking.

(This mod was an unofficial update of Realistic Darkness V4.95 B18 mod, but now has the same name and levels of darkness only)

Balance Note: It's just a cosmetic patch, so no balance changes. Only makes things harder to see.

State: Completed. No changes planned.

Features:
-Makes nights really dark, so it's hard to see unlit space.
-Weather like rain, snow and fog makes it harder see anything.
-Eclipses are dark like night.
-Patch. Doesn't override anything.

Known Issues:
-None.

Saved games compatibility:
-Can be installed/removed without any issues.

Other mods compatibility:
-No known problems.

Credits:
Helpful Bot , Saturn , Jecrell : Authors of the original mod (A14-B18) (Original B18 version)
Wemd (me) : Adopted the mod, updated to 0.19, 1.0, and 1,1 rewritten the mod as a patch, fixed eclipses.

@Kopp it would be nice if you actually made a workshop item. Your patch could be lost in the comments :(

This used to work great but I am pretty sure the grey thing is a mod conflict. I can't seem to be able to pinpoint which one though

This mod make my game grey for some reason. - Think when it's overcast? - Possible to remove that part and have a separate mod just for the darkness contrast?

Thank you @Kopp! You are a mod savior!

Heya, is there a solution for Toxic Fallout still using vanilla night light levels?

is there a "pitch dark" version..? i like pain ( ・ ▿・)"

Just to answer a question by Fuyuno a few months ago........ I am currently working on a mod with Riddick from Pitch Black. I will start adding some preview views soon on my Run and Hide Gamer Channel....But yes........ they will land on a planet in pitch darkness....though I am trying to decide if some of the time there will be minimal light.

I made a patch for [HLX] Regrowth - Core for my modlist. It is quite "dirty" (and simple) as I only replaced the numbers for the darkness of the Regrowth mod with the Realistic Darkness ones. E.g. the weathers "RG_Overcast" and "Rain" share the same numbers.
Maybe someone wanna use it though. I did a few tests and it seems to work so far: https://pastebin.com/b3jFi4QR
For those who do not know what to do with that text:
The simplest thing to do is to download that file, change the ".txt" to ".xml" and put it in this directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1531882210\Patches (or wherever your steam files are located).
Greetings!

I also want pitch darkness, I only want to see places with light.
By the way, places with light with this patch also become darker, there is not enough contrast, for me personally, of course.

This is just a suggestion .... but is it possible to combine both variations of your mod and add a setting slider so that you can customize the darkness? Something like this: 0% is Light weight, 100% is base Darkness.
