Description
Metis Marker brings you the opportunity to create NATO joint military symbols according to APP-6(C).
It allows to build symbols from components, including frame, icon, first modifier, second modifier and amplifiers, rather than pre-define all possible symbols.

Features:
  • Full customizable marker
  • Moveable marker
  • Editable/non-editable marker
  • Copy & paste marker
  • Save & load marker presets
  • Build in preview
  • Full 3DEN support
  • Full Briefing support
  • Communication channel support e.g. Global-, Side- or Groupchannel

Customizable marker system
Our customizable marker system consists of:
  • Frames: The geometric border of a symbol that provides an indication of the standard identity, battle dimension and status of a joint military object. Currently only ground symbols are supported.
  • Icons: The innermost part of a symbol that provides a graphic representation of an object.
  • Modifiers: A pictorial or alphanumeric component that provides additional information about the icon and are always located inside the frame area.
  • Amplifiers: Optional text or graphics that provide additional information about a symbol and are always located outside the frame area. This includes: Echelon, Reinforced or Reduced, Higher Formation, Unique Designation

@Rommels No, client and server need the mod.
Rommels Apr 22 @ 2:32pm
is this a clientside mod?

@Reeveli Note that "markers do not appear if the mission is not saved" (from our wiki).
If the problem still occurs please submit an issue on GitHub [github.com] or open a discussion here with the following template [github.com], so we have more information to work on your problem.

Love the markes, great work. However I do have a problem: Metis markers placed in the editor are not visible on the map during the mission. Couldn't find anything about his in the documentation, am I missing something here?

@Sam Current This is a build in ArmA feature. Ctrl+LMB for "free style" and shift+ctrl+LMB for straight lines.

@Ken Why would it needed in ACE? ACE has common features so that almost all factions can play with those features. Our mod only provides symbols for NATO. Theoretically we would also need to make symbols for other factions.
Also, we already implemented one of our features (editing markers) to ACE and planning to implement more. But at the moment both of us don't have a lot of time.

What is the possibility of this to be added into ACE3?

You can draw lines in vanilla Arma, no mods. I think the keybind is ctrl+click, iirc.

ok stupid question on the 1st and third picture are those lines hand drawn or another mod? or have i not seen how todo it?
