A second generation wrestler hailing from Nagano, Japan, Nishimura Endo had a rough start to his career. While his father ran his own promotion, Endo was told to go make his own name elsewhere. He did not fare well for a long while, floundering in the lower ranks of a number of organizations, unable to find his own path in the industry.

Despite his many losses and setbacks, Endo would not give up, and through the years, gained a hardened edge from his perseverence. This would finally allow him to claim several independent titles, and became known not as the wayward loser, but as a relentless force of nature. With the death of his father, Endo was able to purge the anger of his youth and readied himself for retirement.

Just when Endo was ready to set his final match, he received a call from Lightning Pro founder, Shima Ito. The man known as the Super Grey Machine requested Endo's presence in the rapidly expanding Kyoto based organization, and the veteran now finds himself in a new phase of his career.
